that they dock a game that has featured "filler" missions (since the series migrated to 3D) a 1/2 a point. So I'm assuming the game is a masterpiece w/ no technical flaws? Yeah right, like any sandbox game is. No game deserves a 10, but c'mon. I hope they gave Oblivion a 8 because I completed at least 150 of these so-called "filler" missions.

I've been looking forward to this game for over 2 years now, but NOT one reviewer mentions all the hideous bugs that completely ruined the game for some in OB (esp. console-only players that aren't used to seeing constant game crashes). My only question - Has Bethesda finally hired some QA ppl or what?
Sixaxis control if used as a SUPPLEMENT to the overall mechanics of a game is quite enjoyable. Besides the three you listed, both Uncharted and COD3 did an admirable job too.

But while the graphics aren't what we've seen from 1st party devs, the gameplay looks silky smooth. I've yet to see on any videos of screen tearing or framerate drops. I also like the fact the devs favor the co-op story (i.e. it'll actually be something thought out and hopefully not tacked on). Similar to SOCOM, I appreciate the differences of the two factions as well. Finally and most importantly, the pedigree of Free Radical is worth noting. Their previous excellence starting w/ Goldeneye...

Don't think the same principle applies to MS? Since COD4 dropped, multi-plats no longer favor the 360. Whereas MS supporters brought up two titles that carve into Sony's marketshare, I can name 5 or 6 easily that will do the opposite. And no, I'm not one of the delusional Sony droids who thinks MGS4 will push 3 mil hardware units. I'm saying that all of Sony's new and existing IPs will help them outsell the 360 by 4-5 million this year.

There are a dozen 3rd party controllers one can purchase if the factory model doesn't suit you. But I assume you preferred the Swiss blade army knife Gamecube version, or perhaps you just like the ergonomically, well-suited, all around controller of the Xbox360, err...Dreamcast I mean. Cuz MGO is far from perfect. The beta has some glaring needs. Yes, it's fun but extremely slow.
1. It needs a sprint option. Simple enough. See fortypoundsteak's point 1 example.
2. Mappable control scheme. Although good for a single player espionage game, it feels clunky in MP modes. Why can't the FPS sniper button(triangle) be placed in the R3 position? Why can't I place the crouch/prone on L3 and call it a day? God I can't stand all these devs who force you to...
