In this generation, Sony DID follow MS. MS released the add-on Chatpad first, simple as. Why deny it? They obviously got the inspiration from the 360, don't be so ignorant to suggest otherwise.

Why does every new adaption have to be the one to "light the way"?
Tomb Raider was good, Resident Evil wasn't terrible, nor was Hitman and Max Payne looks set to be promising.

A patent is something protecting an idea or design right? ie stopping copy-cat versions. 5000 is a lot and it may help explain why the PSN isn't quite what it should be. Any idea as to where I can find a list?

No I do not need proof. As a gamer I don't care about patents for this and that. I simply want the best product available.
Im sure MS do have patents but that doesn't stop it having a better design in my opinion. Likewise, Sony have many patents meaning that the 360 could never have products as good as the Eyetoy for example.

I think consumers are looking for a price drop rather than a bigger hard drive. If consumers wont pay £200 for 20GB then they wont pay £200 for 60GB. 40GB is nothing to them.
They are waiting for the price to fall.
