people who want a better wireless service for their games are going to be sorely disappointed, right now will likely be the best it ever gets for gaming through large cell towers.
spectrum has physical limitations, you can only send so much data through radiation before interference patterns start to effect your information. right now the industry is just starting so we have a lot of spectrum available for use, but in the future more and more spectrum will be designated for o...
it can definitely be a licensing issue. if konami didnt have the foresight to put digital distribution clauses into things that were outsourced (sounds like "HIYA!" when a character attacked, for instance, held breath of fire 3 back from psn, and was also blocked for a psp release in the americas because of a few noises that were outsourced) they might have to redo the contracts which might be too much of a hassle for them to deal with.
either way, i think suikoden ...
i think youre confused as to what market share is. market share is the part of the market that one entity is in control of, revenue and profits have nothing to do with market share. though having a high market share generally means higher revenue or profits then competitors, its not always the case, and definitely isnt the case in this situation. theyre spinning things to fit their on marketing goals, its not a new thing in business. microsoft is using an appeal to authority (a logical fallac...
what about the asian release? no digital pre orders actually worked, they paid for it but couldnt actually play the game because blizzard didnt actually give anyone keys.
for hours there was a forum post where gms were going through person by person activating accounts until blizzard found a way to give people what they paid for.
are they like five year olds? they certainly didnt get the candy they wanted.
people are paying for a service and ...
people pirate games because they want to try them before buying them also. you mentioned a case of having games sold for $.01, well we live in a capitalist state: if you support a publisher by buying his game even if it was for $.01, youre telling them that you want to see more of that.
how can you really make that decision before playing the game? now im not saying publishers should be giving their games away, but studies have shown pirates buy more media than any other demo...
definitely depends on servers, euro servers generally dont have to communicate with NA servers for people to play a game, each region will have their own server problems.
nvidia is roughly twice the size of AMD, intel is about 13 or 14 times as large as intel and microsoft is a little larger than twice the size of intel.
and microsoft isnt even a hardware business, im not sure why you mentioned them at all, theyre more partners than anything, hell microsoft is pretty much partners with all three of these companies, without them microsoft wouldnt be able to function. microsoft will fight to keep all of these companies alive, because if any one ...

in the US (the largest market by far, graphics on cloud computing systems is limited by bandwidth, not hardware. sure, they could have a great setup, but you wont see any graphical gains because no company will try and push the boundaries with bandwidth like they will with consoles.
low res textures will be guaranteed if we're talking about cloud computing, it costs too much bandwidth to stream high res textures or things of this nature. many ...
lots of these 0/10's are because the game has been unplayable for a majority.
while i believe the game isnt the log in screen and the problem will be alleviated in the near future and people should rate the game based on the actual game and not trying to log in blizzard did drop the ball here.
they should have advertised an open beta and tried to get millions of subsequent users on it at once. they could have done it, but they didnt and now the games serv...
indeed, its my favorite shooter by far, i didnt buy it until the price dropped because i wasnt sure of it, but ill definitely buy their next game right away. fantastic game
i wonder if they'll end up localizing this game...
werent they loosing a lot of subs in the past two years? going from loosing subs to not loosing subs is a benefit for blizzard, not a loss. blizzard is on their way to growth again if this keeps up.
who cares about the hardware, if its good enough to make good games then thats all we need.
im actually dissapointed with the current gen of games being so focused on graphics. the ps3 could have very real gameplay environments if they dedicated the cell towards physics or vectors, things that take a lot of actual calculation.
@instigator
i agree, nintendo should have this as a high priority, but it seems they didnt, and thats exactly why im skeptical of wiiu supporting the kind of games that i enjoy.
im not buying hardware because it says nintendo on it, im buying it because i want to play games and if nintendo isnt going to bring these kinds of games over ill get a playstation, they've had smaller 3rd party devs supporting them with these kinds of games for years now and they...
modern warfare 3 has been the most successful call of duty ever released, having already outsold every other call of duties life time sales.
im not sure where the basis of calling modern warfare 3 a failure is coming from, its done outstanding
i think there are markets for both... i very much enjoyed ffxi, met a lot of awesome people on there, and i enjoy single player games as well, sometimes all i want is to sit down and play through a good story.
lots of smaller publishers bring japanese games over with a limited run, selling only ~100-150k copies and make a profit. and some of them are pretty bad, but they still make a profit from the localization. maybe nintendo has better things to do, but its because of this kind of thing that i switched from nintendo to playstation as my main console. i wont be buying a wiiu for quite a while, i dont want to be seduced by nintendos few promises of games only later to be told that they wont be bri...
depends on what youre doing. sony is involved in more than just gaming, their movie production studios are some of the largest in the world and their tv manufacturing business was pretty large before it seemed to have collapsed, having a 3d tv that works without glasses and can be viewed from any position would change sonys tv business, they would likely start controlling the 3d tv market, the patent would be worth a fortune.
this game isnt difficult to run, im pretty sure blizzard designed it so that it could be run on just about any computer
of course sony will have the larger music library available, they own the second largest music company in the world.
whats ironic though, is that microsoft will have to pay sony licensing fees for much of the music they put up. sony will likely always have the most content available out of all the platforms because they create much more content than any of their competitors.
