Was a great game from what I remember, my only complaint is that squad stats and levelling is very basic.
Would have benefited from a system like the old XCOM or Jagged Alliance games, where stats increase in mission performance or from performing actions outside of their speciality. Who am I kidding, those days are long gone! :)
Regardless, great review. :)
I never had any issues with Watch Dogs and I played it quite a bit, probably not the best point of reference *cough* Driveclub *cough*.
I think the stark realisation that the online mode for Advanced Warfare is absolute trash has finally dawned on people.
Despite giving it a good 6 weeks to draw me in, 5 prestige's later and I genuinely hate the game. It's on FeeBay as I type. :)
Don't forget, Big Boss was in a coma for 9 years after the events in Ground Zero.
I don't know the exact timeline but I think the last chapter being the infiltrate mission for Mr. Hayter might just sneak in.
hubba hubba :D
I just have to say this, but is there any reason why you're waiting on a stripped down PS+ release that will undoubtedly have a fraction of the content when you can buy the FULL game for less than £15!
Honestly, i'm not this games biggest fan but even i'm getting tired for the "Where's PS+ edition?" complaints. Spend a whole £15 and buy it you tight b*&tards.
Same for me, I never got past the lone wolf phase though and quit after a month.
It's getting to a point where these types of games should either be F2P or retail at half the price.
If I was to spend $60 on any of the F2P games I've poured hours into I would see far more content than most of the full retail games released recently. It is indeed a sad state of affairs. :/
I can forgive F2P models, after all...it's free to play and 90% of the time if you can stomach the grind you will never spend a penny.
Season Pass and announced DLC prior to a games release is now an incentive to not buy that game (for me at least). Call me old fashioned but once upon a time, about a year after a games release there would usually be an 'expansion' pack and this would contain pretty much everything a CoD or BF Season Pass contains for a fraction of...
I think you're the only person who has noticed that lol.
Capcom, release date or GTFO.
Lost interest in it within an hour myself, the idea behind the game was great but the combat felt cheap. Like no impact in your blows. sounds shallow I know but if combat is the main focus then it has to stand out.
"other times your weapons don't work at all, it's as if they're shooting air"
That's exactly how it is for me in BF, 100% of the time so I stick to assault rifles. :)
There's no reason why they wouldn't in all fairness.
Can't take this guy seriously any longer, wtf happened to his facial hair!
Wait, haha scrap that it's a random preview snap from the video lmao.
"If I'm correct though, you don't have to purchase them?"
Correct, I don't. Doesn't mean friends won't which is what will ultimately split who I can and can't play online with. There are plenty of other games I can play and as good as that beta was, I won't be one of the sheep handing over close to £100 a year only for another game to be released once that last chunk of DLC is made available.
I figure i'll chime in and add that if this entire topic wasn't truly about profit, then why would anyone object to Nintendo or any other company gaining royalties from monies gained?
This clearly isn't a matter of ethics, morals or rights, it's greed regardless of which side of the fence you're sitting on.
Absolutely loved the beta, most fun I've had with BF in a long time. However, I probably won't buy it.
I refuse to give in to companies who sell a bunch of modes and maps at 3 month intervals which equate to costing more than the game itself.
Oh god, please...no, not All Turd Beast.
Agreed.
What I took from it: They won't be showcasing any of their sub-par games, however they are more than happy to attend as long as that allows them to waffle rubbish to a large crowd.
