"Well there goes dedicated Nintendo channels made by hardcore Nintendo fans who buy their freakin products to try to convince people like me to go out and get the console..."
Lets be honest, it has nothing to do with convincing others to get the console. It's all about the stream gaining revenue from views and the owner of said stream getting paid.
I don't really agree with what Nintendo have done in regards to YT but that's an entire su...
What would be really interesting is if they actually launched a console that was a technical powerhouse rather than something that is below par with current consoles.
Last time that really happened was with the SNES and that was epic.
"That's exactly why there is no public face for Rockstar Games and if some developers quit,most consumers wouldn't care, thus investors wouldn't care because consumers don't"
I've never thought of it that way myself but it makes perfect sense. Ya learn something new everyday eh. :)
Makes no difference, I can't speak for other regions but EU online lobbies are dead.
Considering people on PS4 can play this for free with DOA Core and the lobbies are still empty, it's lifespan (online) is limited at best.
"I just don't think the new consoles bring anything new to the table. Just more of the same across the board."
Sounds about right, franchise fatigue and the emphasis on Indie titles lately have drawn me to go back to playing on the PS2/PS3.
I don't dislike my PS4 but at the moment, outside of MGS5 I can't see anything on the horizon that isn't going to see a sequel within the next year or have £50 of DLC added within a month whi...
I'm not sure how far back your gaming history goes back but believe me, Konami were SH!T HOT back in the day with MANY games where Kojima was not involved.
What they have left in the tank outside of the MGS series though is debateable.
@s45gr32
The R&D involved to tie the Cell into the PS4 would have cost a fortune and that fortune was invested on the Gaikai service.
Sony never had any intention of providing native B/C, in the same way they probably realised adding it to the PS3 was a mistake hence it's removal. It can be argued this was because of cost, but it could have been re-added in later iterations as the hardware costs for the PS3 as a whole dropped.
Why gi...
I'm with this guy, when a remaster is released how can a $60/£50 price tag be justified?
If remasters were to release at half the price, I wouldn't have an issue. It's a blatant fact that they are just polishing a product that only requires a fraction of the original development time and the retail price should ALWAYS reflect that.
I think he meant the PS4 and XB1 being glorified PCs which sounds about right to me.
If Sony end up having their way we won't be using physical consoles in the near future anyway.
Kinda shows how irrelevant the game has become when you can barely find more than 2 lobbies during peak hours.
That's within a few weeks of the Core and retail release. May be different for US but EU population has died off really quickly.
Agree with the wild spending from some players, disagree with lack of depth though.
As most F2P games need to keep players engaged, they tend to do special events far more often so they don't just dump a game after a month. It's constantly evolving.
There's a game I've been playing daily for about 18 months and I would say I've spend around £30 on it, there have been days when I've been playing for 8 hours straight. Far more valu...
The fact they are possibly partnering up with DeNA doesn't bode well for me. It will make them a ton of money but ultimately it will alienate many Nintendo fans.
There's nothing wrong with playing them in chronological order. Can be argued that's not how Kojima intended it to be but that's not necessarily the case.
An interesting way to approach it would be to play though all the games where Boss is main character, then all the games with Solid Snake.
@_LarZen_
I wouldn't be so happy about that considering the company they are getting into bed with.
DeNA don't have the best of reputations with people who play their games. I won't go into it but anyone who has been playing Defender of Texel for the past two years will know exactly what I mean.
@One_Eyed_Wizard
With the exception of BBs coma which is 9 years. :)
@Joe913.
I'm not completely clued up on the timeline but I figure it will end with the player using BB and losing to SS which will explain how he was believed to be dead OR You play as SS and see it from his perspective with BBs survival being revealed at the end of the credits...probably dialogue only as they tend to do.
System Restore says hello!
You like complex mechanics that are fun to learn but hard to master. That's strategy all over, I ended up with strategy as well. :)
So true, I can't wait for more rinsed and repeated franchise sequels. It's totally gonna be a magical experience...
You have it wrong way around, only thing the Genesis had over the SNES was the CPU clock speed. Literally everything else was in favour of the SNES.
