That's sugar coating it, it didn't work at all; for about a month. I wouldn't have minded if that wasn't touted as a MAJOR feature as you mentioned. But admittedly, even now that connection to the servers is stable it added nothing for me after drilling through the offline content in less than a week.
Who really cares ...
Although I am not GoW's biggest fan, you can't just stand there and hold X until your enemy is dead and press another button to refill health when its low.
There's no dodge or tactics (that I noticed, I didn't play much after completing it), just a game of numbers. I enjoyed DIablo 2, felt engaged and it wasn't easy if I remember correctly. Diablo 3 on the other hand just felt like I was on auto pilot for about 90% of the experience.

Just reinforces why the industry has gone to the dogs really doesn't it. Lets applaud the sales numbers and dynamic weather, who cares about the fact that content needs to be added constantly to pad out what was a seriously p*ss poor flag ship title release.

Found it a bit mind numbing, walking along and hold a button until the enemy is dead. In a party of four the screen is just a massive clusterf&*k, can't tell who is doing what and at that point I wondered why I was even bothering.
Believe it or not i'm more interested in her fighting style rather than the size of her rack. :D

It's worth adding that they haven't failed to localise a Yakuza title yet excluding the Ishin titles so it bodes well.

I have to say that AW is refreshingly different from the usual COD games, because of the new mechanics camping doesn't really happen so much.
Having said that, the multiplayer aspect is easily the most frustrating I've played of all the COD releases. Getting headshot markers and not getting the kill yet you always feel like you're being one shot killed happens way to often.

Same with Demons Souls with the exception of one or two sections.
They won't announce a new console for a while yet I don't think. Once all of the usual suspects have made an appearance (Starfox, Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros. etc) including one or two sequels then I think something may be in the pipeline as there won't be much else left for it.
