"What he can do now, is exchange some of this stuff for things he can physically own...property, land, resources, gold, silver, food, etc, etc."

Soon as I started reading your post I was waiting for this statement. Hold on...where did I put my tin foil hat!?

@EazyC

I'm looking at MS now and they are quickly reminding me of how Sony were last gen when they realised they had to pull some rabbits out of the hat.

Even though the PS3 had inferior ports PS+ well and truly impressed me. I can't say the same with the PS4 PS+ offerings and it shows. If Indie gaming is your thing that's the only way it would be any good. Then I glance across at the XB1, EA Access...backwards compatibility *sigh* and i'm thi...

Nice idea but flawed.

I bought all 3 pre-owned Uncharted games for £10, not far off the cost of renting them.

So, pay to rent and have nothing at the end or pay for pre-owned and have free access to it for life as long as I own the physical copies.

They would need to charge some kind of subscription plan to make it feasible, else it would drive up the price of pre-owned games and only line the pockets of high street stores rather than S...

People are still banging on about this?

Acting like they have somehow been offended by the whole debacle, sweet Jesus...get a grip.

Haha yeah MGO2 had many cool quirks that most other online games simply don't have.

Entire teams of players gathering around pr0n mags for example. :)

"Skins are good, but where's my story content?"

I know, right! The way the game has been designed shows it's ripe to introduce villains into the city at will. Skins on the other hand, meh.

I believe the term you're looking for is 'you can't polish a turd'. :)

Sony know it won't sell well which is why they were never willing to pick up the tab. Sega games in general just don't sell well these days.

It's a sequel to a 15 year old game being released on a platform which has a relatively small user base (in comparison to PS3 etc). Many people probably haven't played 1 + 2 so why would they buy 3 without knowing the story?

My pledge has gone in for $60 and I have my fingers crossed that it's a good...

@nidhogg

It's sheer luck if you find ANY girl who is into gaming as much as you. In general, they take little interest in it.

I look around my office, in the IT technical section I see about 80 blokes and 3 women. That isn't sexist before anyone wades in on an SJW horse, that's how it is.

You can buy base kits for this sort of thing off ebay and build your own spec for a fraction of the price.

I would only recommend this to someone who can't be arsed to do some research and actually get involved in building something they will genuinely enjoy.

"Used to sit on the bog reading manuals when I got a new game & the above game has a secret at the end, that to this day I don't think any other dev has done."

Sega went a step further with Dragon Force on the Saturn with a little snippet of text in a .txt file on the disc itself. It basically said you should prepare to lose a month of your life to the game, which I did. :)

Yah I've read that somewhere as well. Things like the laughing after a near-miss and the muttering to himself when nervous are Knoxville all over.

Best game I've played on current gen of consoles to date. There's nothing 'disgusting' about it really.

Agree with you completely but I think some people are missing what the author of that article was getting at.

There was nothing at E3 that said "go out and get a PS4 now" as most of the hype was for titles that are close to a year off being released. MS on the other hand had a few things in the pipeline that are a little more tangible.

Sony done it for me the moment they announced Shenmue 3 but even then, it will be on PC. *shrug* :)

The GTR isn't a Skyline. The only thing it has in common is the chassis naming convention (R35) which makes it a spiritual successor. :)

Unless they introduce a subscription for about £5.99 a month I can see this service going down the pan fairly rapidly.

People generally don't mind £5.99 as even if they are not using a service, it's available on tap for a minimal amount. As soon as that goes up by a couple of quid, people will only pay it if they are 100% going to use it, often.

As for the rental prices, complete joke. Until the abundance of physical PS3 games dries up how c...

To be honest I've been of a 'i'm going to file that under...not interested' disposition for the past 6-12 months in regards to most games on the current generation of consoles. It's just a flood of remakes/sequels/reboots/remast ers/prequels and I haven't found those 'other' games to distract me from the genuine sense of monotony I currently have towards the new platforms.

It's now at a point where I've started rebuying games for the Sa...
