Lots of new tech coming out by the end of this year, I'm realizing now that GT5 is probably being held back because-- (A). GT is the only racing genre game Sony needs to compete, polish, polish, add features and (B). Because of A, they're looking to implement the 3D tech/PSEye to make it the one complete racing sim for conosles.
Of course that's just me being excited at the thought of 3D racing. GT 2 and 3 are definitely the best racing sims I've played (Forza on Xbox was a nice ...
Kinda hoped for some better skill adjustments (more paladin nerfing) but ohwell, nice to see that they're still rolling out updates.
Nintendo basically did all the testing for Sony then?
In a way, it sort of worked out better for Sony/Microsoft in the end. Nintendo falls further from the pulse (outside of Japan) when it comes to the "core gamer". Thanks in many ways to the Wii's motion controls and the gimmicky nature of it all. Sure, it kept them alive for another generation, but they essentially brought blood to the other two sharks.
You mentioned fanboys, but there's something else yo...
I don't care what it is, as long as it enhances my game play experience. Wii didn't do that for me personally. Maybe Move or Natal could pry my hands from my traditional controllers.
Having the interface pop up at you in 3D would b amazing I think.
Thinking more about that, I would love to see a 3D Borderlands too. It'd be so much better to see the items on the ground and the menus in 3D.
That GOW3 pic really had me laughing out loud.
I can imagine playing SSB in one of those moving levels. I think I'd have a heart-attack playing that in 3D.
Anyways.. I want a 3D Rollcage game. Or a 3D Twisted Metal and/or last but not least-- a 3D Amplitude. Oh, the epileptic fits I'd have with a 3D Amplitude....
lol@JackTretton.
I purchased my quad core when they were quite pricy, now they're in about every 2nd pre-made PC. At the time it was soooo nice to have, but now it's just "meh". If you have the money, go for it! If not, wait for the new tech to come down in price. $1100.00 is a bit too rich for me haha, I'm comfortable where I'm at now.
The controls were nearly immaculate after I got used to rotating the camera while running, I dunno how else they would have made them for the PSP. I played a ridiculous amount of Freedom Unite on my 1000 model, and it was great. Anyways, as for the PSP Go---
As soon as I saw the Go, I was like "Nope, go back and fix that thing Sony, you can't play MH on it."
You need to have your left index finger on the Left and Right DPad buttons for camera rotation and y...
4chan is pretty hilarious. Some would consider it the bowels of the internet. I sort of agree.
I know lots of people who frequent 4chan, and to be honest, they seem to have more sense than a lot of people who post on here (in real life anyway). They just go there for the lulz.
As for NeoGaf.... Sure, they're heavy-handed, but it's 100% necessary.
Interesting. I Didn't know that IGN was owned by FOX. 0_o
Uh. Wow.
Look at that. With idiotic comments like that, it's not wonder you ran out of bubbles so quick.
I guess for Sony it was more of a case of "who would've known?" sort of thing. It just goes to show that the "big games" of the year are not always the "big games" to some people. Think about what games came out in 2009, and how many people who have played DS (and liked it) would consider it their GOTY? Or at least a GOTY #2 spot?
The 1000-3000's are great, especially with CFW.
The Go, is...Well, yeah. I'll just say it probably should have been held back and released as a completely new successor to the PSP. The whole idea of going digital for the sake of portability was a nice idea, but the PSP Go definitely should have been the "PSP2".
They would.
I've checked it out a few times. Usually whenever something new is released I check it out just to see how it's all shaping up. It never does capture my attention long enough to make it something I'd spend much time in though.
Not saying Home is bad or anything, the PSN is still pretty young, and to have a 3D social network app as well that early in is still quite a feat in itself. It just needs more time/money/attention from Sony.
I have a feeling after Sony gets mo...
Journalists? More like glorified trolls.
So was it solely Mass Effect 2 that propelled their sales? I really didn't think February was a big month for them outside of ME2 copies being moved.
(Thumbs up)
Much better than just cramming Natal in to their single conference. They did say they were giving Natal the new launch treatment. I guess this is the start of that idea.
The fact that they are separating the two conferences should give gamers a sigh of relief. Relief in knowing that MS isn't going 100% into Nintendo mode. Only 50%. Which is actually nice. No really it is. I thought they'd be like:
"Hay, look at our Natal thing, and all t...
