Everybody worth their salt knows that a nuclear holocaust will lead to a DisneyWorld'like setting, car chases, and ninjas with mittens. Duh.
KZ2 was a sexier (graphically) game than halo3 and I personally had more fun with the romp through the single player of kz2 more than I did halo3.
But.
Halo is halo for a reason. KZ2 was fantastic but I don't really think it is in the same league as halo3 for a handful of reasons.
Most notably ..
1) The halo community was already huge before 3 came out, and once it did, the camels back was broken... by mind-humping awesomeness'ness.

Wii and HD..
Let me (not) be the first to say that the Wii is fine the way it is. It does not "need" to go HD.
Now, with that said.. if the Wii were to go HD it might attract some of the next-gen graphics whore'loyalists, which could increase the revenue stream for nintendo.. I'm no doctor; but I'm pretty sure more money is a good thing. -- However --

check again simple jack, if you don't notice the similarities in at least the setting, than you should perhaps lay off the video games because their ruining those little round things in your ocular cavities..
But I agree with the above... similarities, yes; but Rage is stylistically superior and the level of detail just made me pee a little.
Not to discredit fallout 3. That game ate my life for at least a week. But the cold hard truth is .. Rage > Fallout 3...

Ok, i can understand where this guy is comming from, but honestly.. like novelists or directors... the majority of people in the media entertainment biz don't exactly steal ideas from others (sometimes they do) but they will adapt or build upon ideas from works that came before theirs..

When i mentioned what the suits have to do with the game, i suppose i could have been more clear.. of course they handle everything you explained.. i was leaning more towards the dev team at infinity ward. Replayability or not; i, as well as most of you (with half a brain for recognizing properly done story-telling -- that at the same time is incredibly engaging), know there's nothing in gaming like the first time through of a single player experience that blows your mind in the process.. ocarina, half-life, bioshock, hell even gow1 & 2.
But God of War III ... i can only hope my face doesn't melt completely off before i can finish it.

Yes, valve took basically the same game, changed the color of its lipstick, new pair a shoes and called it l4d2. ( or so i've vaguely read, didn't follow the story too much ) While obviously yes, this is insanely lame; it still pales in comparison to what activision is doing.

I partly agree with you on the point of view. So far, and for what he has shown most recently, it appears that maybe the likes of E.T. , Schindlers List , Jurassic Park , Indiana Jones etc. etc. might be all the guy has to show for his humble career as a director.
