Neither. If cross play were a major factor for consumers then they wouldn't be buying PlayStation. If it were clever business then Sony would not have all this negativity coming from the media. Sony is just sticking to its guns and protecting the assets it built in its ecosystem. If Microsoft were market leader then they would be doing the exact same thing. But ultimately, it comes down to the consumer and making choices for themselves. The consumers are still choosing PlayStation. ...

Sea of Thieves was Microsoft's fastest-selling new IP, not fastest selling game of the year and no, there is no evidence Sea of Thieves has outsold Far Cry 5 as Microsoft does not release sales numbers. We do know that as of April 25 Far Cry 5 was the best selling game of 2018 in the US and UK.
