Although I wouldn't be surprised if the X1 was $250 at E3. That is the price it needs to be at this point, and frankly if they wanted the marketshare it should be $200.
They could do this through an Arcade Edition.
The PS4 is 12x stronger than the PS3, and even the X1 was 6x stronger.
IMO 8x or GTFO! It would be worth waiting an extra year and making it use 250w instead of 150w.
They just can't use some stupidly complicated CELL-like arch again with a bunch of useless features that drive up price (Why did I need 4 flash card slots?!?!).
It's ok Lawson72, some people don't like the truth.
It's like some people don't get why Bloodborne got higher reviews than say Fallout 4. No it wasn't as long of an open world game, but the time you spent playing was SOOOO much more refined and perfected.
Hahaha please! That game had so much stuff to do it was stupid!
It only got repetitive after 60-100 hours of gameplay. I guess sorry about that?
A few things matter:
1) Market Share
2) Profit
3) Mind Share
Sony has won all 3.
Git. Gud.
Deal. With. It.
That's what some people don't get - sure Halo is great, but it has been done over and over again! Any halo die hard fan already has an X1. But those who want more, look for games like Until Dawn! That game is in NO WAY on X1 and has no competition.

@Benchm4rk
The problem with that is you just straight up miss some games like MAG, Resistance, and socom you just cant play online anymore.
Other games you will miss there golden years and be left trying to play in a ghost town.
But if all you play is single player it's fine (Although even games like Demons Souls now need online to get the full experience)
@BLow
The thing is everyone keeps forgetting that last year wasn't even a win for MS. They NARROWLY won in 1 major market, but lost worldwide.
All the while losing tons of money on those bundles the day every company is supposed to be profiting.
In the modern AAA world. Get a clue.
They use proven algorithms and estimation techniques. No one is saying they are 100% correct, but 90% is good enough.
This game sold far less than they wanted.
They will because it will have better graphics, all of the DLC, and it got good reviews.
It will launch without trying to beat Fallout 4 and sell easily twice as many copies on PS4 as it did on X1.
And? Fallout 4, Battlefront, and MGSV all say "Who gives a shit?!"
What ever the fuck that means!
Yeah wow people are really grasping at straws now!
@Crimzon
Except everything you are saying is incorrect.
1) Sony hasn't lost a SINGLE holiday season this gen. Last year they SLIGHTLY lost one region while MS just poured money into a fire pit in a desperate attempt to win.
2) The multi-plats perform better on PS4, and this holiday season the Multi-plats are blatantly better than the Exclusives from either camp. It would be a waste of money to not hold the mega exclusives for next year ...
The PS4 is 12x stronger, and the X1 is 6x stronger than the previous gen.
5x would be just enough for 4K probably, but I hope instead Sony makes a 240w console that is 8x stronger than the PS4 (Which is 150w).
Both the Xbox 1 and the PS4 use the same exact arch from AMD. The PS4 has:
1) 50% more GPU cores
2) 300% more bandwidth
3) 400% more async command queues (Crazy important for compute)
A 7% overclock and a poultry 32MB of VRAM that is barely faster than the PS4's 8096MB of VRAM isn't gonna do SH!T!!!!
It. Is. Stronger!!!!!!!!!!
Oh boy Linux...
The power difference is more like 250w vs 160w, and yes that may be something you need to consider but again:
-10% stronger
-20% cheaper (Money saved from power usage will be less than this)
-230% more VRAM
-It wont have its performance fall off a cliff in a year
Except the 390 is 10% stronger, 20% cheaper, and has over double the VRAM.
LOL another site completely out of touch with modern PC gaming...
I am so tired of articles stating sony has to do this or that. As long as they are making fist fulls of cash they will do what they want.
I think E3 would be a better time to drop it to $299, especially if 14nm manufacturing is ready for a Slim Edition to be introduced.
