It's not up-scaling, it's being rendered at a higher resolution. Very big difference.
Based on how fast this thing drops in price I would say the right time is perpetually a few months from now. Should be $300 or $250 this Christmas - I mean hell it already was like $270 last Christmas if you take into account the bundles.
I mean now they just give a free TV with it! Just wait for them to bundle a PS4 with it people!
I am legitimately not trolling when I say this: Why in god's name would the Xbox One be a great console compared to the PS4:
-Half as strong
-Less games
-worse games
-More expensive online with inferior features
It is objectively worse. If you are a die-hard Halo fan then it makes sense, but honestly that's it.
I agree. Xbox fans do seem to be very happy with inferior quality and selection. It's kind of their thing :)

That's funny because PS4 has FAR more games than Xbox, and they are on average rated higher.
I have never seen another gen with a more black-and-white case of one console being just flat out inferior to its competitor.
I could never understand why someone would pay $300 to play an inferior experience sooner. Never get a console for one or even two games, let alone games that will soon come to your console and run better!

The answer is it simply never ended. It's kind of pathetic that a bump in the road for Sony is the best generation for their two competitors - yet all sold about the same.

@Kurisu Same with me, then I got it for PC and adored both it and New Vegas. Bethesda games are meant for PC - Period.

Haha no. Bloodborne is GOTY and Until Dawn, No Man's Sky (?), and GOW III are more than enough to at least put up a fight.
Then consider that Battlefront and MGSV will be bigger than Halo and sell massively better on PS4.
Also Fallout 4 - another launch bigger than Halo.

I bet they did it because they knew it would fit on Vita. I mean come on:
-12 player
-No SP so file size can be small
Plus Vita needed another killer app and the founders of COD would have really pushed sales.
