Just like Fallout 3 there is no need to finish it. This is game of sidequests, and Bethesda even knows it now.
However I have to say that New Vegas made me want to finish the story every time.
I mean they said they will lol. Sony may reboot the series later on but who knows. Just like Halo: Reach was the last real Halo, this will be the last real Uncharted (Although Golden Abyss was good as a spin-off).
From this point on it is over. Sony let MS win one region 2014 holiday, and took no prisoners 2015 holiday.
2016 is gonna be a bloodbath with what Sony is bringing to the table...
Look Konami is on my shitlist right now - but admittedly they do have the opportunity to be smart and make their next MGS be a remake of the old school Metal Gear. Almost no one has played the retro games (Relatively speaking), and then they could just go through remastering the other games.
This would be almost impossible to screw up, and they wouldn't NEED Kojima. Then once they get their goodwill back they can just make MGS6.
God only knows. Honestly if NX fails to sell at least 30m and make a decent profit I wouldn't be surprised if stock holders start selling.
Yeah actually I agree. This gen MS could have finally proved they are in it for the long haul - but instead they continued to act like gaming really isn't their long-term strategy.
It somewhat proved that "Yes, the XBOX will never beat Playstation".
LOL I didn't even need to read the article. I just read your response to confirm what that picture hinted: A biased moronic article that gets facts wrong left and right.
I mean easily! In fact I guarantee the X2 will launch by then.
@Darkkent
The fact is that Tomb Raider has always sold a lot better on Playstation (And it will this time as well).
Then it went head to head with Fallout.
If it was released a month sooner, on all 3 platforms: It would have easily sold 3-4 times as many copies by now. It would have been the perfect game to play for a little before Fallout, and launching BEFORE Uncharted would have been great.
@_-EDMIX-_
I mean you are half right and half wrong:
1) The DVD/Blu Ray player definitely helped.
2) You are right that the media player thing wasn't the only (Or the most important) factor, but I don't think most people think it was.
At the end of the day every generation is different and the results come from a multitude of often unique factors.
I mean the X1 is as strong as a 7770 so this makes complete sense.... Then again I guess we should be happy this isn't the recommended.
Not unless you are someone who lets your expectations and hopes run wild.
If you are just expecting an excellent exploration sandbox with infinite content - then this should be exactly that.
I will play all of these games (Or at least the good ones) when they come to steam.
They could just make it like a little stronger than the PS4 so that they just double the framrate/resolution on the Polaris version. That wouldn't be that hard to do.
It will be a late 2016 launch at the earliest, and likely be no more than 50% stronger than the PS4.
By then the console generation will be 60% done and devs will have much more experience with the PS4. Too little, too late.
Just launch a completely new console in 2017 MS.
It's twice as powerful, and also no. The PS4 uses a streamlined version of OpenCL which is inherently more efficient than DirectX. Go look at Project Vulcan - that is what the PS4 uses.
@Lennoxb63
Your right that the X1 was built as a Media Device first, instead of Gaming first like the PS4.
However the X1 uses more energy, takes longer to load things, and is generally less snappy than the PS4.
So lol it just loses at everything. Hell it only recently became a little faster in its menu's, but god knows Sony was just waiting and will implement the same kinda update within a couple months.
I already have all of these for a lot less money lol (All bought legit).
All of these are either $5 on steam or free on PS+.
Killzone SF did at launch, and 1886 looks better. Hell even Ryse on the X1 looked about as good (Albeit at a silly resolution).
EDIT: I was thinking of the "Samaritan Demo".
So nvm no we probably won't see something 100% this good (At least not at 60 FPS in 1080p). Otherwise I would say 1886 already looks this good.
Oh my lord give me a break. I will give you that the Wii was innovative in how it brought in new gamers and changed how we think about ways to play. But the fact is that after even just Wii Sports almost everything was gimmicks that would have worked better with a controller.
The Wii U used its tablet for almost nothing. Moving your hud to another screen on 90% of games is not innovative.
