I could not laugh more at this list:
1) Statistically no one cares, and if they do - it is more likely they owned a PS2.
2) PS Vue makes the PS4 the ULTIMATE cord cutting solution
3) A bogged down, unreliable TV viewing experience is not something to brag about.

The PS4 has DOUBLE the cores of that even though they are clocked 20% lower.
Next let's move on to the GPU - a 7870 with a lower core clock and 10% less SP's; yet faster VRAM and double the GPGPU command queues.

LOL this isn't a surprise at all. The components in the $300 PS4 equate to a $500 desktop.
Oh but I forgot - all of the fake PC "Master Race" think that an APU = garbage (Even if it is 3x stronger than any APU you can buy on PC).

Just look at the specs on paper. If you could understand the numbers you would agree.
Well imo the discounts just put PSN's sales on par with Steam (Which is a good thing no doubt, and a BIG deal).
But I do agree that is a lot of the real value.
What your forgetting is the countless games that performed far better on PS3 a few years after it came out.
Battlefield 3 comes to mind.
Either way it is silly to compare this gen to last. Last gen the were almost entirely the same strength besides the PS3's WAY stronger (And expensive, harder to program) CPU.
This gen the divide in performance is bigger than even the Xbox Vs PS2. It is HUGE.
Because it doesn't sell as well, and the MP isn't as big.
Yeah more Bloody Nintendo Re-Releases is what this aging company needs...

I feel like this direction in gaming is a perfect example of 2 things:
1) Games have matured past gimmicks and try to have REAL feelings and consequences.
2) Modern life has become so bizarrely different from our cave-man days that we now long for simulating survival. We have it so fucking good lol!
