At the end of the day it boils down to a decision Sony made based on cost. Do they include a feature which will cost more, make them less profit and ultimately be a feature that few people will use or do they leave the feature out, potentially making the unit cheaper and therefore making it cheaper to the consumer.
Let's face it, the vast majority of people now watch movies by streaming them and/or downloading them. The physical media is dying. This is really a non-iss...
Funnily enough, the video you linked to looks almost exactly like the game I play every night, minus a few UI changes.
I still fail to see why Sean Murray has been demonised by every single troll out there.
@Kleptic - No, the embarrassing part of being a gamer just now is all the hate and anger aimed at a developer by people who have never played the game. They have no dog in this fight. If you decided the game isn't for you or you're unhappy about the content the developer supposedly promised and never delivered, just move on. and let the rest of us, those who actually bought the game, discuss the game and whether we like it or not.
There are far too many keyboard an...
But it's not online only. My son has about 40 of the figures and Infinity 2.0 and 3.0 and he very rarely goes online.
With the recent introduction of the Battlegrounds playset, he can now fight Smash Bros style on local multiplayer.
I am a bit pissed that there will be no more Marvel figures (Dr Strange looked amazing) or Rogue One figures, but he'll still have the disks and figures so he won't lose out.
The guy who claims this let his patent elapse in 2016. This is a non-issue.
I used to use them for my US PSN cards, until I got an invalid code for a $50 card. It took them eight weeks to refund me. I would chat them every few days, sent them screenshots multiple times of the error codes I was getting and was continuously told it was down to the reseller to refund me.
At the end, I was actually surprised I got a refund.
Have never used them again. I use offgamers.com now.
I read pretty much everything coming out of E3 (I own all three consoles) and never heard or read anything about games giving people motion sickness. There was some concern a few months ago about it, but it was aimed at all three platforms (Vive, Oculus and PSVR).
To single out PSVR just because, arguably, it's the most mainstream is a bit unfair. Motion sickness has long been an unfortunate by-product of VR, not just PSVR.
I can kinda see where he's coming from to be honest, but only because MS have just made Xbox sales numbers irrelevant. With the introduction of Xbox One games on Windows, they'll make money off the licensing alone, while not having to spend so much on hardware costs. The problem is, I can see developers leaving the format in droves and just developing for PC. Why would they go to the trouble of developing for a format which is on the way out?
I'm still not entir...
Rather than reporting the right download speeds, to me it seems like the download speed has increased.
I have 78Mb/s up and 20Mb/s down and it used to take about a minute and a half to download the firmware updates. This time it took about 25 seconds.
Looks like its EU only. Can't see it on the US store.
@Segagamer - Are you seriously trying to tell me that game development now is the same as game development 8-10 years ago?
Low polygon models created by a few talented artists versus an entire department creating skins, high polygon models and proper animation?
A few guys hunched over a digital sequencer versus a full orchestra?
People need to realise that games now have the same development costs as some blockbuster movies and arguably just as much thought, energy and...
Thing is, your opinion is the minority. Practically everyone who bought a PS4 bought it to play PS4 games on. If you wanted to keep playing your PS3 games, keep your PS3!
Fact is, if BC was such a big issue, there would be holy uproar about it, but this 'paying slightly more for a newer SKU with BC' argument is a bit redundant.
Let's say Sony decides to start developing BC for the PS4. How much would it cost them to develop? How much would it put onto the ...
The whole article just read like a "I know more than you" piece. It's a video game, fir feck sake. What do you want them to do? Stop three steps away from the river, pull down their britches and deliver a massive shart?
Sometimes you have to suspend your disbelief for the sake of gameplay. At least you can swim in this game. Early AC games had it so you couldn't go near the water.
Can't disagree with that. Anyone who can genuinely say they can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on smaller screens are just looking for troll-bait.
You can only really tell the difference when it comes to 60inch and up.
It's about time people let the resolution thing go. It's not going to change any time soon and it'll mean we can actually start discussing proper gaming news.
Oh and if N4G can stop approving resolu...
Just a couple of things. The best way to compare the two is to try and visualise what they would look like without the HUD. To me DC has the edge here. Project Cars still looks like a game to me, whereas Driveclub has the more realistic lighting and shader effects.
And let's not even talk about the engine noises...
I see a lot of discussion on here about sales figures and whether or not it should be a PC only title, seeing as how the consoles are "too weak" to run the next Dying Light.
From what I've read, people are saying that it should take fully advantage of the PC architecture and run at 4K, 60fps etc. Do they not realise that this would be commercial suicide for a comparatively small developer like Techland?
Think about it. PC only, so you therefore cut off most of y...
PS4 owner here. I'm glad that Xbox looks like it has a new direction. I think their problem at the start of this gen was basically having this huge ego which was consistently being stroked every time they looked at the 360's sales.
Quite honestly, they went into this gen arrogant and full of self-confidence. No bad thing, until they made the Xbox One always online and came out with the "buy a 360" line.
Now, by the looks of it, they've taken a beating, e...
Did you read any of the stuff they did to him? Swatted him numerous times, bomb scares for the flight he was on, filed fake tax returns, made over 50(?) credit applications in his name, not to mention the DDoS attacks and harassment.
Just a few of those allegations would be enough for jail time, but because Finland favours rehabilitation instead of jail time, he got off with it.
Smedley did mention on Twitter, though that the the two year suspended sentence was only for the 50...
