I believe it will improve X1 games, but I have trouble accepting it will be anything like MS (and Fanboys) hype's it to be.
Truth is, I'm pretty happy with the X1 now, so any improvements the Cloud/DX12 can offer is awesome in my book.
I'm inclined to agree with the wait 'n see philosophy :/
Puuumped!
Puuuuumped!
Puuuuuumped!!
Exactly!!
Brilliant strategy by Sony...
All those 360 faithful's yet to decide on their gen 7 purchase, or maybe thinking about migrating to PS4 will totally want to seek out this game.
The Last of Us....but not the Last of It:)
It means those who skipped the awesome PS3 scene will find it was pretty inconsequential, since the 'key' PS3 games are (Beyond tipped to be next), and will continue to be ported and improved on PS4.
lool that's "Funny" ...Bubble bubble :)
Good ND are bringing talent in....I suspect there will be many other appointments @ND as the production ramps up :)
Much as I loathe to agree with you...on this occasion you're absolutely right lol
Edit
@wardestroyr
There's way too much negativity regarding all 3 consoles without your input.

@wardestroyr
You provide an extensive list of 'diverse' games on Xbox, then you slate MS for deciding maybe 'core' is the way to go.
MS got flak for some of their decisions re; X1 and are clearly making efforts to appease their fanbase.
Rather than live on last years news of DRM and TV, why don't you just look forward to this 'core-centric' attitude MS is (seemingly) injecting into the Xbox One's catalogue?
I can't wait for Project Spark, that is a nice diverse game from MS...
I can see MS are really trying to match Sony's diverse portfolio of IP.
Can only be a good thing, unless you happen to be a 'hater' ;/
I agree with GribbleGrunger...
I too consider Child of Light an 'Indie' type game, regardless of the publishers status.
The box art even has the tagline...'A love letter to Indie games'.
People need to learn the difference between arcade & Indie?? Maybe some people need to learn to ease up on the semantics. Life's too short! ;/
'dat stating (staying) power'
You keep regurgitating the same crap whenever Titanfall is mentioned. You hype TF more than EA!
I suspect when Titanfall (eventually) drops to 20 in the charts, you'll type 'Titanfall still in the charts #20, dat staying power'
OT
I suspect soccer moms have purchased Spiderman for little Johnny on the strength of the movie.
@vega275
'Its not worth rebuying it again'.
You need to add IMO, because you just can't speak for everyone you know!
@Luke
LOL, so true!
..and I don't see why anyone would say it's too late to give a damn about BF4??
At this point in time, there's hardly an abundance of quality FPS/MP games on 'current' gen consoles. There's way too much sour grapes concerning gen 7. Expectations are way too high for some.
I am very happy with gen 7 so far. Better than PS2/PS3/360/Wii U launches. Everyone knows a new gen takes time t...
All this just 'cos a Marvel spokes person (when asked), simply stated, a potential Avengers game has to have the right developer/quality treatment.
That does not equate to an Avengers game coming soon....
@animegamingnerd
Although Sony make the movies, Sony don't have the rights to make a Spiderman game, and maybe that's for the best. A Sony developed Spidey game would not appear on X1 or Wii U.
I gave my PS3 TLOU copy to a family member in anticipation of TLOU PS4 remaster.
I hope ND reposition and increase the amount of enemies on screen, and hopefully improve the enemy A.I. so that expert gamers and those who played it before, get a real challenge.
Summer can't come soon enough!
The visuals should be outstanding since its a fighter.
I can't wait for the next DC game...not too sure about MK games, I didn't really get on with them ;/
Lol
This article is late...
I think we all know what's happened at MS, Sony and Nintendo.
I'm not sure if it's an attempt to troll or the author is genuinely serious about it?
Wow!!!
$500 Million is like a few Avatar movies or three Grand Theft Auto V's or, how about the R&D cost of the Dreamcast console back in 1999.
Activision have placed a huge amount of faith in this IP. I totally intend to purchase Destiny (PS4) day 1. Destiny has a 10 year lifespan :)
I actually learned tons from your very informative article, I found it quite intersting to read also. Thanks!
Bubble up for being "Interesting" :)
