PS4/X1 share many similarities with PC architecture, so I don't buy this cop out tbh ;/
Oh well, we have Project Cars and Driveclub to look forward to, so if this particular Grid skips Gen 7, it won't hurt too much IMO.

Well think about it this way...it's 2 million more than my X1 to date!
Folks will say Nintendo had 1 year head start, but that doesn't change the fact that Wii U at 6.17 Million is still 2nd highest selling next (or current, whatever) gen console.
Sony is at the top, MS is 3rd..and I don't care about 1 year head start, because 360 had 1 year head start over PS3, and 360 fanboys were quick to dismiss that reasoning.

Many of my gamer friends cancelled their subscription because of the prolonged downtime, and that it's not really that good, so not worth the time/financial investment.

Sony's catalogue is quite small and yet the console still sells at an awesome rate, even exceeding Sony's own forecasts.
I think it's very possible PS4 could do those numbers. It would be an incredible feat, but it's not beyond the possible.
And as AngelicIceDiamond commented 'Sony hasn't even brought out the big guns out yet...' and that's coming from an Xbox One owner! :) ...

Like PS3 (unsure of 360), Sony can reduce the OS footprint, and I see know reason as to why MS can't do the same with Xbox One.
Over time I think we'll see more Ram allocated to games. It's not yet required though. 4-GB for games is more than enough right now ;)

Folks have nothing much to slam Sony/PS4 about at moment....
The Sony studios fiasco has died down, the cries of Bankruptcy/Financially doomed lasted but a few days.
So I guess any crumb of distinct failure is going to cause a frenzy and wake the sleeping trolls that dwell under a bridge near you...
