Halo is great in its own way but Mass Effect would definitely fit a Star Wars type longevity because of the possibilities of all of the races, like Star Trek and Star Wars.
I didn't say they had poor sales. I was implying that buying one was a mistake that I also made myself.

Yeh some people will play both but as you say - their individual fan bases will remain loyal.
Personally I quit playing COD after modern warfare 2 and never considered myself a Halo fan boy by any stretch (still enjoyed them though) but halo 4 looks to be a bit of fresh air thanks to the new team.
This could be a very serious case of Dukenukemitis if they actually save it for ps4.

Sonic CD and Silpheed were the only memorable Sega cd games (from my old broken memory at least)

I saw the pic and I jumped in to say the same thing heh. Good painful memories of falling off of the super tall wall and doing it all over again... I'll never forget the pain.

Could be following the same pattern as console/pc games ironically enough.

You're most likely right but I hope you're wrong. AAA games are the ones that leave a mark and the $5 are good for a little time-wasting but nothing more than a turd in a toilet - flushed from memory after you're done.
Great game. It took Dishonored and my new xcom addiction to pull me away from Borderlands 2.
