Exactly. This might sound like a bit of a stretch but each area of Metal Gear Solid (and all subsequent MGS') was like a little self-contained open world. Like you said its always been about how you approach them and thats what makes an open world game in the first place.
They limit it to one so that theres no chance of 2 gays breaking out in a make out session in the middle of the tournament because thats clearly what happens when 2 gays are in the same room.
I'd agree that English isn't his first language if his screen name didnt sound so 'Murican. He may just be... slow, and angry.
But OT Im also glad that it's not a copy and paste of bf4.

This is the first time I've heard someone mention MDK on n4g. Man did I love that game. The sequel not so much but I'd still love to see this series come back.
Can you say what was better about the beta? I just barely liked the alpha and didnt try the beta.
Im a cheerleader for it now after putting in a few hours. It feels like quite a step up from the dead island games and the free-running really is great. Mirror's edge meets open world zombies.
Loving it too. I was honestly expecting the whole free-running thing to be a bit of a hyped-up letdown in the game but I couldnt have been more wrong.
Agree with Christoculos about the reasoning for the suckage of crackdown 2. I had tons of fun with the first crackdown but crackdown 2 was a huge letdown as soon as I realized it was the same locales. Way too rushed but I have hopes for the next one.

You aren't kidding especially about blunders. 2014 was the year of broken letdowns.
I cant wait for all of the games this year that didnt have publishers forcing them to put out unpolished games. I hope other publishers paid attention to ubisoft's poop-filled mishaps.
I always loved Rare as a developer and got the xbox at launch but for some reason I just didnt like perfect dark. Never could pinpoint why either and I know everyone else loved it.
My thoughts exactly. Thats what I get from their wording too. Im more of a single-player experience over mp but I loved how the Souls games implemented the MP with the SP. Id crap my pants with brown happiness if I was playing the next Red Dead with a bounty on my head having to constantly watch over my shoulder for human bounty hunters.

If you havent seen the oculus mod for hl2 yet its worth checking out vids of it. Its really cool for something so early and you can tell by the players' responses to it how fun and how much of a game changer it is.
Really looking forward to VR. It is not a gimmick.

Some games overuse the mashing but some use it to great affect - like metal gear, being tortured in MGS and then the death crawl at the end of MGS4 were moments where it really meant something.
You ain't lying. Im cool with it. Cid has always been a staple of FF but never the same person so who cares if Cid is a male or female. Not me.
The second one may of had its shortfalls but it was still definitely a good game if you liked the first one.
Looking forward to the 3rd one and hoping it turns out well.
