My favorite location in Dark Souls, specifically talking about the scenery itself, is Ash Lake. I won't going into detail about it just in case you haven't made it there yet, but the journey down to it and then into it was just awe-inspiring to me.

From Software really does pull off the best environments of pretty much any dev out there.

Same here with the character building. Ive looked at a few things but I'm still not sure. I'm either going to start as knight or pyro but when it comes to Dark Souls I'm a sword and shield man. Wouldn't mind having some of the pyro's spells handy but he maybe be a little too squishy starting out.

Kill them in their sleep. Take the game. Or maybe just fart on them in their sleep, but still, take the game.

Argh these reviews are killing me. The wait is getting almost unbearable.

Blood pressure medication for sure.

I remember almost feeling comfortable at one point in Dead Space, started looking at my inventory for a minute maybe, then suddenly I'm getting my back torn into my some horrible nightmare that had apparently crawled out of one of the nearby vents. Never got complacent again after that. I think they must have known the times when the players might feel comfortable.

Alien Isolation though, I still haven't finished that one. I loved it but in a gf-that-might-mentally-sn...

Hah, if they made those I might actually buy them.

Survival of the fittest at work, including mentally fit - as in the ability to acknowledge that you need to take a break.

I think I'm going to have to play through this before Dark Souls 3 given its 10-12 hr length. If I try and play both I know DS3 will end up pushing aside the little guys.

This is gonna be a fun week.

Cool, thanks for that link. Sounds like the patch worked some minor miracles out for the performance.

I don't care about the clothes, cooking utensils, underwear, books, guides etc. I just want the damn game already! Next week should already be here by now...

They need to hire some muscle man whos capable of actually wielding it so we can see them cut a cow in half. Even though I like cows, and burgers and milk - that would be something to see.

That sword is an absolute monster.

My personal love story with Dark Souls - I kept getting my ass handed to me by the stray demon (when you voluntarily return there to fight him again) and after multiple deaths I was so pissed I put the game in the gamefly return shipper and tossed it in the mail box. Watched about 10 minutes of TV and something about it kept calling me, nagging me. Went out to the mailbox, grabbed the game and ripped open the mailer, booted up the ps3 and beat the stray demon the first (retry). I was hooked e...

I think Kalkeno's mom made him the wrong kind of cookies today so he's just taking it out on everyone. I understand, I prefer chocolate chip over oatmeal cookies too.

I loved the first season but I grew tired of Telltale in general half way through the second season. Too much illusion of choice as well as laziness on their part as far as the engine goes.

Playing Life is Strange only gave me contrast on how little effort Telltale puts into their games, and how they just ride on the name recognition of the licenses now.

Ok that does it. I'm drinking the FFXV Kool-Aid. I was sipping on it before but drinking the hell out of it now.

It definitely has a steep learning curve and even after 250hrs I'm still learning stuff. Like you said the house/nodes/trading is difficult to understand but once you get it everything just clicks and falls into place. I think I'm going to be playing BDO for a very long time. The last mmo I felt this committed to was WoW and I quit playing that over 10 years ago.
