It took me 30 minutes to connect but once I did it's been game after game with no lag. Brewing a pot of coffee for an overwatchathon now.
Holy $HIT sign me up!
I know there are gamers in the west that just worship all things Japanese especially JRPG's and anime, like I used to when I was younger but does anyone know if that goes the other way too? Are there gamers in Japan that worship all games from the land of the setting sun?
Did you ever play Team Fortress 2? If you did and you got hooked on it, you'll get hooked on this. If you didn't like it then I'd say don't bother.
Over the years I've put hundreds of hours into TF2 and now after playing the Overwatch beta I already see myself doing the same with it. It's just fun as hell.
I've had a pair of Turtle Beach PX5's for a while but their plastic-meets-metal in all the wrong places has made them start to crack in several spots. They officially hit the graveyard while playing Doom today. Almost bought the Sony Gold wireless headset but saw similar complaints about the the plastic cracking. Ended up ordering a pair of Kingston HyperX Cloud II's today - they look like they won't have the same structural issues, fingers crossed.
Just finished this today and man the way the ended it up was superb. One of the best endings to a series ever.
I didn't like the Battleborn beta, and like you I loved the Overwatch beta. Battleborn looked and felt very uninspired. Gearbox has probably been putting most of their efforts into Borderlands 3 while working on Battleborn, just like they did with Borderlands 2 while working on Aliens Colonel Marines.
Battleborn seems like it was made without any real enthusiasm and inspiration unlike Borderlands.
Yep it seems like some people must actually play without speakers, or they are just completely unaware of what's going on around them. Too many times I'd be Mercy buffing or healing someone in front of me while getting chewed up from behind and my teammate wouldnt even turn around.
Mercy's fantastic with a solid team though. Lot's of fun making the push.
Flying grills that deliver freshly cooked burgers. You might be on to something there.
With me, I'm not a Blizzard fanboy by any means but it's always been clear to me that they are a great developer, just not exactly my kinds of games. I haven't even owned a Blizzard game since WoW first came out and I got tired of that by the time I hit level 40.
I'm a long time TF2 player but I have siphoned every bit of fun out it over the years. When I first started playing the Overwatch beta some of the similarities felt like straight up rip-offs of TF2,...
No kidding man. Now that the beta is done for I can definitely feel a giant void in my gaming soul. The 24th needs to hurry along and get here.
True but being Blizzard they'll crank out new heroes, maps and modes fairly steadily I'd imagine. They'll probably support it as long as they do most of their games and as long as Valve has TF2.
Yeh I have a feeling they haven't and may never because they consider it a form of advantage via a wider field of view.
Yep the open beta turned me into a buyer. Didn't care for Battleborn - felt like a crusty shell of Borderlands in some ways along with being generic and souless by comparison. Ive played Team Fortress 2 off and on for years but having exhausted it to death Overwatch has really hit the spot.
Thanks Majin-vegeta, forgot about that.
Aaand crap don't even have access to deletion ;/
Ah thanks, gonna delete it then.
Maybe it's just me, but as a ps4/pc gamer, it only takes me a few minutes to get used to going from 60fps to a 30fps game. It seems off for the first minute or so but then I just get used to it and then it just becomes "a game" - which is what takes hold. I've been playing Dark Souls 3 with it's confirmed poop frame pacing but even despite that it has no bearing on how much I love the hell out of it.
People are getting too hung up on the technicalities...
This would be a HUGE exclusive if it turns out to be true.
Unreal's right about not needing to be a pro at these kinds of games. The best thing about it, and TF2, is that if you aren't a good shot or you're just not in the zone there's plenty of characters to switch to that don't require the twitch skills at all. It's fun stuff.
