I only played the first 30 min or so but didn't see any dips at all (to my naked eye at least) on a 3080@4k ultra settings. Guessing the dips are just in isolated areas as opposed to common.

Gorgeous game but was pleasantly surprised how easy to pick up but fun the combat was as well. Looks like it might have some fun skill upgrades along the way.

Ha yeh what little I've played is fun. I haven't played a jrpg in ages either so I'm psyched. I'm looking forward to really digging into the meat of it but damnit I can't pull myself away from Deathloop now!

I'm stretched thin between this, Deathloop and now Kena. Im only about an hour into Tales buy Kena will have to go backburner.

I still don't get how (before the infamous trailer) no one on the team said "uh it looks like a peaceful gorilla".

I don't doubt it. I loved Dishonored 1 n 2 but I will never forget the awful launch. I couldn't reliably play it until it was patched again for at least a week or 2 I think, maybe longer.

I've actually had zero problems with the game but I guess that makes me a lucky one.

1633d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Me too and in most cases if the game is good looking I'm pretty bummed if it doesn't have a photo mode.

It has me excited too! Good AA can cost some serious frames so to have a feature that makes it easier to pull off is great. Going by how much DLSS helps with resolution I'm really interested to see how well DLAA handles AA.

Sorry if I stain the cushions with nerd but it's cool how AI is helping realtime graphics get closer to modern movie CGI. Closing the gap!

I'm about 15 hours in, barely scratched the surface but am fully immersed in it. But I admittedly really like everything Arkane does. It's an 8.5 for me at the moment but feels like it's headed for a 9.

I can't help but think that there is some kind of eureka moment just around the corner. A particular power I unlocked made me have one of those "hell yeh" game-changing moments. The power turned out way better than I expected.

If it's a quality remake of a game that I haven't played in 10 or so years that I loved then by all means I'm ready to experience it all over again. It's as close as you can get to experiencing it for the first time, a second time.

As long as they don't force stuff that doesn't belong, like KOTOR being rewritten by someone who didn't even like the original and has an agenda.

The Blackbird was one of my absolute favorite jets growing up. And it's stood the test of time as far as just being damn cool looking.

I definitely see potential but boy am I worn out on that setting. Looks like Nioh's environments which got stale fast.

Hopefully it turns out some creative locations. That's one of those things that no Soulsbourne clone has ever come close to.

@ arandora

Nobuo had a hand it though. It's like when Stephen Speilberg assisted Tobe Hooper with Poltergeist. You know it wouldn't have been nearly as good without Speilberg's help. Even your average person thinks Speilberg directed it.

Not to knock Yasunori but the same goes for Nobuo assisting him with Chrono Trigger's OST.

I remember just not being able to get into it. I had so much love for Chrono Trigger that I think my expectations were just completely out of whack when I went to play Chrono Cross.

Just talking about it reminds of the music of Chrono Trigger. Soooo good. Robo's music went straight for your heart.

Nobuo Uematsu is a legend.

Heck I'm just really glad to hear they're addressing the lack of enemy variety. That was literally my only gripe with the first game and it wasn't a particularly big gripe given the rest of the game's greatness.

But I'll say that 2023 for a PS4 title is going to be extremely late in that platform's life cycle - 10 years. I wonder if they may abandon the PS4 version so they can push the PS5 version more.

The artist behind it looks like he came straight from Disney's animation team. And that's a compliment.

Beautiful looking game.

The dual sense actually works with it on pc. Adaptive triggers and haptic included. First game I've played that's used the full functionality of the dual sense.

I'm just glad they didn't close shop after Days Gone. It's really underrated and I want to see what they can do next.
