Just because this game is natively 720p doesn't mean hopes are "dashed" for a 1080p generation. This game is being made concurrently with the "last gen" versions for PS3 and 360. And it's a launch title for the "next gen" consoles. When games development is solely focused on next gen and abandons last gen, and when they've had more experience with the new consoles and can set appropriate targets for the new machines in the future, then 1080p is obv...
I see a ton of glitches in that demo. Can they get it all fixed up before launch? It's crunch time if they want to release it at launch without all those bugs. Could be tough.
Firefight was Halo's Horde. But Horde debuted in Gears of War 2, which came out simultaneously (actually a couple of days later, but that's negligible as development was simulatenous) with Resistance 2, which had a similar co-op mode of its own. So to say Sony developers are copying a Microsoft game idea is ludicrous. Insomniac and Epic came up with essentially the same idea at the same time and put their own tilt on it into their own separate games that were developed concurrently...
Um...no. GPUs use GDDR5 RAM, because it is best for graphics processing.
Everybody touting Ryse as the best looking next gen game is seriously sleeping on Infamous Second Son. That game is flat-out gorgeous, and it's a seamless open world with destructible environments. Even Digital Foundry, everybody's favorite source for saying the only native 1080p60 next-gen games are on Xbox One, basically flat-out said that Infamous is the best-looking, most CGI-like and impressive next-gen game.
But she has no problem with the same grotesque over-exaggerated bulging half-naked men in the game. Just the women. Go figure. There is no sexism in this game. She just wants to perceive it that way. Fighting paper tigers.
Well actually it's $60 a game, not $65, and most PC games also cost $60. You're just making stuff up. Call of Duty: Ghosts = $60 ( http://store.steampowered.c... on PC or PS4, as an example.
There are plenty of games on both PC and PS4 that will *not* be $60 games as well. PS4 will have free to play games, and cheaper downloadable games, indies, etc.
Not sure why you're pa...
Well, the question specified: "The title princess of this game, which launched a best-selling franchise, was named for F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife." Note that it says "this game" and "which launched [the franchise". Meaning they are looking for the proper name that is the actual title of the specific first game in the series. It is strictly worded so that the only correct response is "The Legend of Zelda".
For another example of h...
What the hell are you talking about, nobody uses DDR5 in gaming rigs? First of all, just to clarify, you mean GDDR5, which is not the same thing as DDR5. DDR5 is a theoretical future iteration of DDR which might come out in a decade or more. We're not even up to DDR4 yet. But to say that GDDR5 is not used in gaming rigs is *ridiculous*.
Every gaming rig uses GDDR5. All of them.
The world's current top of the line GPU is the GTX Titan, which retai...

His point wasn't that Nintendo couldn't sell the Donkey Kong IP without selling Mario, it was that they WOULDN'T! Donkey Kong was Nintendo's first major successful release in the video game industry and it is one of the most iconic games and IPs of all time. Anybody who thought Nintendo would sell that IP without doing a complete firesale of the entir company's assets was being delusional.
They can't do that, JokesOnYou. Either everyone is in, or nobody is in. Here's why:
1) You buy your game and take it home and put the disc in, registering the game to your account. Now you no longer need the disc ever again, so...
2) You sell your disc to someone else, who is *not* opted in and takes that same disc home and can play it without going online to verify it and remove the game from your account. Therefore...
3) You can...
@No_Limit, you're going to sit there and say only God of War and Uncharted interest you from the Sony exclusives, but you're excited for Quantum Break and Project Spark? So are you just conveniently forgetting about Quantic Dreams' games and Media Molecule? I don't see how Quantum Break and Project Spark can interest you without also being interested in Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, LittleBigPlanet, etc. Oh, and what about The Last of Us? All of these games are extremely w...
Wait, so Person A's library can only be accessed by 1 of the 10 family members at a time? Not 1 game from Person A's library, but the entire library? If my brother is playing my copy of Halo 5, then nobody else can play my copy of Fable 4, so Fable 4 just has to sit there being lonely and nobody can play it?
That's stupid.
Just recently I loaned my copies of Uncharted 3 and Dark Souls so my brother and a different friend. They were regularly on...
I've had the opposite problem: Enemies knowing I was there when I was being completely still and silent.
See, as far as the enemies not knowing you're there when you're right in front of them... are you talking about Clickers? Because they're blind. They only "see you" when they HEAR you. They're not supposed to see you just because you're in their quote unquote "line of sight". Although as I complained above, sometimes they do ...
Form the article: "Third-party publishers are free to come up with their own Digital Rights Management (DRM) for PS4. For example, Activision’s Destiny requires a constant internet connection. So the PS4 system doesn’t require the internet to work, but certain games will."
That's an awful argument. The game is an online only multiplayer game! That's why it requires the Internet, not because of DRM! Good god how stupid can they be!
Here! Here! Nintendo is spot on with this one.
There's a third choice, Foxgod... Develop better products more efficiently. Reduce budgets. Increase quality. Streamline development. That is how you make your company a success, not by trying to force things down customer's throats.
Let's conduct an experiment... Here is a list of games coming to either the PS4, Xbox One, or both:
Killzone Shadow Fall
The Order: 1886
Destiny
inFamous Second Son
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Battlefield 4
DriveClub
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
Mad Max
Watch_Dogs
The Witness
THIEF
Knack
Skylanders SWAP Force
Dying Light
Daylight

Wow, really? This is absolutely PR speak to gloss over the reality that they will bring this to Playstation 4 in probably 1 year from the Xbox One launch.
The writing is on the wall. It isn't hard to interpret PR speak, we've seen these exact kind of obvious phrases before when developers couldn't explain that they have a timed exclusive deal with Microsoft.
"Obviously a business relationship between Electronic Arts, Respawn and Microsoft l...
Ultimately it doesn't really matter. As long as they both release around the same time in the same holiday window, the release date won't benefit either one. Remember back in 2006, the Wii came out 8 days later than the PS3, but it still went on to be the hottest ticket item of that holiday season. Really though, all of these consoles are going to be virtual sell out items in their initial holiday season. A few days or even a couple of weeks difference between them won't make a...
