The 360 has out sold the PS3 slim in the NPD for most of its existence.

All SONY has to do is keep it somewhat close in the NPD because they dominate everywhere else.
PS3 outsold the 360 WW last quarter (1.8m > 1.7m) Also during the PSN hack fiasco, and
despite the 360's dominance in the NPD last quarter.

the PS3 is going to outsell the 360 WW again .

For me I was planning on getting it later anyway. Resistance 3, GoW Origins, Team Ico Collection, & Uncharted 3 all were higher up on my list.

So in the end it makes sense to push it back.

I think Uncharted 3 is the front runner for GOTY, maybe Portal 2. Valve & Naughty Dog are so well respected in the industry.
