No, it's not my fault for expecting something Sony didn't promise. It's Sony's for naming the firmware 2.0. Anytime you go up a whole version number you indicate a fundamental change in the software.
In this iteration, we did not see a fundamental change in the software.
Best of luck to them since Colbert has been denied a place on the Democrat ballot in South Carolina.
Stupid no humor elections committee.
My thoughts? It's a horrible feature addition for a big time version change.
As much as I'm not an XBOX fanboy, I have to say, the original article title was,
"Forty per cent failure rate for 40GB PS3"
The author copied the title verbatim, as he's supposed to.
I had a lot of hopes for this game... maybe I'll try to get it cheap.
I really like the demo.
This entire storyline is a null. The data was leaked before the days when they released it, it will be leaked again.
This game plays at 1080i on my 480p/1080i RPTV. This article is bunk.
The attached image is of my Mitsubishi WS-55859 tv. Sorry about the lighting / reflections. I think you can see what you need in it.
No, because if you mute the TV, you miss out on dialogue and sound effects. If you replace the music with your own, you still get all of the sound effects and dialogue.
Well, since I obviously don't own a PS3, I wouldn't know this, but...
You can't just select 1080i. If you're using component or HDMI, you must select 480p as the lowest common denominator in the PS3 video settings. I've seen this with my own eyes, on my PS3. The one in my AV room. That I'm going to play, tonight... on my 1080i only RPTV.
FYI - Nobody can select *only* 1080i as the resolution. You always, no matter what TV you have, have to select 480p.
No, it's always been that if a game supports 1080p, it also supports all lower resolutions.
The problem used to be if the game supported 720p only, the PS3 wouldn't upconvert to 1080i or 1080p.
Recently, Sony gave the devs the ability to upscale from 960x1080 -> 1920x1080 for 1080i or 1080p. Only some games have taken advantage of this (Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Rainbow 6 Vegas most notably).
Wasn't this debunked yesterday?

1080i/p is 1080i/p no matter if you have a new TV or an older one.
Wow, if TheMart is saying they look identical, the PS3 version must be superior! ;)
FYI - When you're approving stories, you can see the author's name, even if it's hidden. If you click "report" and then "report user," it shows the author's name.
And they missed the obvious reasons for the Dragon Warrior (Quest) sequels. They were too fricken expensive. At $75-$100 carts, my mom refused to buy them for me.
I hope that they'll live again on the VC.
Why is Guitar Hero Rocks the 80's on the list? It was forgotten because it was a full-price game with only half the content.
What if? Than that makes that person scum.
I really hope N4G shares with MS and the authorities the IP address and private information of everyone who claims to have d/led or will d/l this game.
You really shouldn't be discussing warez here.
I don't think it's impatience. The PS3 is the *only* thing I don't always get HD content out of. That's because the ability to send out multiple resolution signals has always been on the source device. Every other HD source device *except* the PS3 scales.
And it's way different than 360 Premium vs. Elite. The Premium is a 100% capable machine, just in a lesser configuration. It lacks nothing. It would be like MS releasing the XBOX360Uber with an HD-DVD drive and then started r...
I agree. It has little if nothing to do with gaming.
