I don't know that I buy it. I think there's just about as many Wii around as there needs to be.
Seems there's always 1 or 2 available. Any more and the perceived supply pressures don't exist and the demand for a desired object goes down.
Nintendo's done a great job keeping the supply and demand balanced well.
@shmee
Any proof this is from a viral marketer and not a valid news source? Otherwise, I'm going to approve it.
Anyone else getting tired of Top 10 lists?
I guess that's why it's good to see the actual numbers sometimes instead of the estimates.
Maybe we'll see Sony and MS's numbers in the near future.
Dead Rising made me come very close. I still want to play that game.
I don't know why Capcom can't port it over like Lost Planet. I thought they were a multi-platform company.
I loved my PS2, but honestly, I got a PS3 because of Final Fantasy. I'd buy whatever console the FF games come out on.
Actually, vgchartz.com is pretty close.
Wii 12.73M
DS 52.23M
To reply to myself, the notes at the bottom read:
2 Actual sales units of software include quantity bundled with hardware.
So, part of the Wii number does include Wii sports. Hopefully, the DS numbers don't include pictochat. :)
Something else interesting:
There are 53M DSes out there with 250M pieces of software sold for an average software to console ratio of 5:1.
There are 13M Wii out there with 65M pieces of software sold for an average software to console ratio of 5:1.
Lots of Wii software may be shovelware crap, but people are buying it, in the same ratios of DS software.
Personally, I have 10+ DS games, but only 3 Wii games. Do these figures include W...
The thing I hate about EULA is that if you decide you don't like it and you disagree, you can't return the game since almost nobody allows returns on opened games.
If you don't like it, you really don't have recourse.
$30 is awfully steep the the Oblivion can be found for $20 now.
To copy and paste my above comment because you saw the need to copy and paste yours...
Really? Being a fanboy is so important to you that you found Amazon's number (not easy to do) and called them to check on the sales of a unreleased console? That's sad.

I can understand not liking parts of Folklore. But, it is not a 5/10 game. At worst, it's an 8/10.
I'm about halfway through it right now, and for me it's easily 9/10.
I agree that I wish the text were spoken for no other reason than to hear Ellen's voice. Sex-eeee.
Might as well use the medium you're given. This is a game which would most likely fit on DVD.
Not only is it a stupid game, but a bad one on top. The demo is the only thing to ever freeze up my PS3.

"imagine if some parent buys this and ONLY this for Christmas under the tree? Little Jimmy's throwing a plate of Christmas dinner...lol...is it $60 bucks?"
If there's ever been an arguement for tiered pricing of games, this is it.
I'm suddenly very interested in Sword of the New World.
@evilninja
Who says I read it? I posed it as a question when it was up for approval.
It just seems like we get 2-3 Top 10s a list. Most are from gamesradar. They should change their name to Top 10 inc.
