to those who want to point out, "duh, the PS3 has more critical reviews, that's why, duh", both games released on the same day, why don't they have roughly the same amount of reviews? Shouldn't there be more 360 reviews? Look at BFBC 2, the 360 has 45 reviews and the PS3 has 33 reviews on Metacritic. Am I agreeing with the 'conspiracy theory'? No, but you have to admit that now that the PS3 is widely known (and widely discussed) to have the edge in a multi-plat game, Metacritic ...
Just reading a few of the reviews (especially those that gave GoW 3 overall 8 scores) and I had to chuckle at some of their reasoning's. Just saying.
to cast my vote for Game of the Year...
Didn't expect a score like this from these folks.
His review does not match the score. He was blown away but in the end thought the game to be too violent. Wait, what?!

It's a review for parents. Even more interesting is the feeling they've never played any previous GoW titles and is surprised by the detailed violence.
Should check out the other articles on reviews that gave the game an 8+. CHAOS going on in comments section!

I just finished GoW 2 the other day, just so I can have the story and the feel fresh in my head going in to GoW 3. I know you said in your opinion, but since you shared yours, I'll share mines to counter. In my opinion, you have to be in straight up DENIAL to think GoW 3 is, "slightly graphically improved God of War 2". Hell, the DEMO is miles in front of GoW 2. Go ahead rip the eyeball off a cyclops in GoW 2 then do it in GoW 3. There is nothing 'slight' between them.
Where I flash my high beams and drift across the finish just so I can watch it all again from different angles during the replay....
that they are surprised that 30 hours in to the game and they're not done yet. They should have known going in, anything less than 50 hours in completing a Final Fantasy game means your only doing the minimum (no max levels/weapons/side quests). You don't play Final Fantasy games to do only the minimum. Who does that?

I've read other blogs that did hands-on saying this is still pre-alpha and has a chance of tightening the response. Show more new games and how I might use it in older games (KZ2 maybe?) and I'd be set to buy in.
