when you pretty much have every gamer covered!
for us hardcore fans. I don't need another Wii, thanks but no thanks MS.
MS new direction is turning it's back on the majority of those who put them on the map in the first place. A future where they will throw the hardcore a bone every now and again with an exclusive, the rest of the time relying on multi-plats and timed DLC to try and keep the hardcore interested, kind of like the Wii.
Didn't do it for me again since I always look forward to a ton of blockbuster NEW games from the Nintendo. Instead I get to buy the same game again (and again for most announced tittles) but in this time in 3D on a slightly larger than 3-inch screen! No.
I wasn't forced too, but when you charge an arm+leg for something you include later for the same price (or cheaper) on a more efficent platform, that's just f@cked up. I'm not surprised though, this is how MS rolls.
They forgot to add the one thing that made them who they are: games. Not that Kinetic games, real hardcore games.
Funny now because all those praising MS for 'adding' stuff are probably the same ones who claimed that same stuff wasn't needed. I'm bitter because I just upgraded to a MW2 and bought the wifi adapter. MS doesn't take away features, they only take away money.
Gamers win every time. Except me, in part, because I recently bought a MW2 360 + wifi recently. Damn you MS, making me think money well spent...
So no reason to upgrade from a MW2. Still feel jaded for buying the it and a wifi adapter recently.
Just show me the Games. You can do interviews for the other stuffs...
The return on investment (entertainment) is blowing up on my PS3 and it looks like my 360 will be going the way of my Wii: powered up for Netflix or to sample a new exclusive. Every few months or so...
Rainbow Six 3. My favorite that really got me into the series. I still have it and if it wasn't for empty online, I would still be playing it.
If they have the games to back it up. Seriously, I hope they don't forsake the hardcore now and do the Wii thing where they would release 1 or 2 hardcore exclusives a year and use the multi-platform games excuse as their 'continuing support for the hardcore'. Games is what moves consoles. I mean really move consoles. Ask the PS2.
A new slim that says a big, "Ha ha you fool" to all those (like me) who bought an elite/MW2 and/or wireless adapter and/or a bigger HDD or had an 360 shipped off for repairs, all in the last six months.
15 newly announced casual games for Kinetic
1 exclusive game in the works by Crytek (maybe casual?)
0 newly announced games for the hardcore
By all means, if it's good for business, do the casual thing. But do...
For the hardcore folks? I know of 15 newly announced games for Kinect, but no newly announced games for the hardcore? So you gonna throw a bone every now and again for the hardcore folks just like the Wii? Don't get me wrong, Kinect is cool and all. IF you never heard of the Wii...
It's not even lag, it's was all actors following pre-recorded stuff.
Hopefully we'll see more!
They'll show more blockbuster games that are geared for the hardcore.
Why cough up the dough if you already own a 360 (especially MW2 360 like mines) and MS moving towards casual gaming? Plus all the folks who spent money on proprietary HDDs and Wifi. Who wouldn't be disappointed?
I just recently bought my MW2 360 + WiFi. I'm beyond dissappointed. Add to that no new blockbusters coming out, just casual Kinetic crap. Sigh MS, why?
It'll take more than 16GB (if that) of flash memory to move 4+ years of game data over. Not to mention what happens when MS goes 500GB? New 360 slim with 500GB storage, sorry 250GB slim owners, you can't swap out the HDD... But you can sure as hell buy a new one, and now it comes in WHITE!
Fricken money-hungry MS.
