Shown but rail gaming. MS needs to come out with something more than this if they're going to keep spouting this future of gaming stuff. And for all the 'experience gaming like never before' talk, you can't be serious? Sega and Sony was doing it for awhile (no controller motion gaming). Hell, Sony still using the PS Eye.
Makes you wonder what else are Kinect limitations. Not sure how you can tout this as the future of gaming when it being so limited.
Without control of direction in the game (read: game on rails), I can't see Kinect being any good.
IT technology.
without a controller, motion control gaming becomes very limited, almost like a guided reactions game where you just react to what you see on the screen, but have no control on where you are going. This is why for me the Move is a better option for hardcore gaming.
From here, which is madness in itself.
is the media says Kinect is new tech but turn around and say Move is a Wii-mote clone. Seriously? Both are enhanced version of tech already in use in the gaming industry. Which is why you have to hand the best tech to the 3DS.
Every market was well represented at E3 by industry to varying degrees. For me, I'm just hoping for a continued competition in the hardcore gaming arena.
Gamers are getting wise. Slowly but surely, everyone will realize a simple truth: Sales does not equate to quality. This holds true to pretty much every market.
Regardless of software support, Kinect may go on to sell well during the holidays. Never underestimate Microsoft advertising plus the power of the clueless gaming consumer.
No kidding, I was 'pressured' to trade up for the black Wii and DSi XL. Not by much, but was still pressured...
Gamers win every year. For me I just love having options, even if that option isn't necessarily meant for me.
LOL, too funny! Made me think:
"XBOX ..... STOP ..... HAMMER TIME"
Why no journalist came out and asked if they were really using actors and pre-recorded video. And if so, why aren't journalist a little peeved about it. Makes me wonder. Huge disparity with today's scenario and the Killzone 2 trailer debacle.
Totally agree. I would just like to see the hardcore exclusives coming, that's all.
It always was and always will be about the games, not the hardware. I think given time, everyone will realize this again.
can bring CS:S into this cross-platform gaming project, then Whoa Nelly!
Maybe I hit the panic button a little too early when MS showed more exclusive casual games than hardcore games at E3. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and just wait and see. But 2 or 3 hardcore exclusives a year just will not cut if for me.
Damn Ice Cream truck, ALWAYS taking me out!
Why compare when you can enjoy both.
