I've been watching X-Play more or less since it debuted and I'm constantly asking myself why I keep watching it. I almost never agree with the reviews, and more times than not I find the reviews to be complete bullshit.
I really wanna play more of it, but there's just too many server issues right now. It's also freezing my PS3, requiring a hard-reset, frequently. I keep telling myself "I'm done, I'm not gonna try it anymore." ... but an hour later I'm off trying to play some. Rinse, repeat.
I really wanna max out and get all those beta-exclusive bonuses, but the technical nightmare that the beta has been so far is going to make that really hard. Hopefully my PS3...
No More Heroes needs to be on this list.
Hell, every Suda51 game needs to be on this list. It is sad that his games are never big sellers because they are some of the most ingenious I've played.
Really? 3.2gb seems to be a lot of data to be caching and deleting everytime you start/quit the game.
Umm... wait, a 3.28gb install on the PS3? Where the hell does that come from? No where in the game menus did I find an install option, and I completely beat the game and I have absolutely zero game data on my PS3 so it's not like Enslaved: Odyssey to the West where it installs as you play it.
The game did have some load times so please, someone, did Lens get some wires crossed? How in the hell does this game install? @_@
You gotta play No More Heroes 1&2. They are what made me a Suda fan.
How can it be a ripoff when Shinji Mikami, the creator of DMC and RE, was one of the major collaborations on the game? Besides, those gameplay systems have come to be the standard for many games, doesn't make them a ripoff, just means they're willing to accept a finely made system that works instead of trying to be fully original and ultimately make one that isn't fun.
This game was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC. Probably the funnest game I've played in a long time. I highly encourage everyone to pick it up. Suda51, who was already great, really outdid himself here.
Damn, this came at a rather busy gaming time for me. Just wrapping up Shadows of the DAMNED and will be getting Alice tomorrow. Looks like I'll be needing to take some time away from dear Alice for some UC3 goodness.
I never really got into UC2 multiplayer, but I definitely want to get into UC3's, especially considering they're putting so much attention into it whereas UC2 was kinda tacked on.
This game has absolutely zero potential to be good. Also, it's a little stupid to still be calling Uncharted a Tomb Raider rip-off at this point. Tomb Raider WISHES it was Uncharted.
Woah, hang on. Didn't anyone else catch that this post says that Portable Ops is included in the collection? Since when? Konami didn't announce that for the collection, they stated the collection only included 2, 3, and PW.
Where the hell did this guy get that info, is he mistaken?
Definitely turn some heads at the beach. But least if they lose said heads you're covered.
While I don't personally care for wrestling games, it's sad to think that this probably means the PS2 library is finally ended. I realize all it's really been getting the last 2 years has been the yearly wrestling and sport games, but it's still sad to me.
There's still so much of the PS2 library I gotta experience, but being knee-deep in the PS3 the past 2 years I lack any and all motivation to buy more PS2 titles or even beat the ones I own.
A Level-5 Collection but no mention of Dragon Quest VIII? Something's wrong with you, son.
I really want an HD re-release of Dragon Quest VIII. That's my personal "greatest game of all time." Also a Kingdom Hearts Collection of I, Re:CoM, II, and Birth by Sleep would be incredible. But I'm curious if Square-Enix will even jump on this band wagon...
Tho he's only a game journalist and not really part of the "industry", my vote goes to Geoff Keighley. I watch every new episode of GT.TV for the gaming announcements and coverage, but he always comes across as a total douche in front of the camera.
I think they already left.
Just in case someone is wondering why on Earth it got the MSRB equivalent of an Adults Only rating, it is due to the same reason inFAMOUS 1 also got a Cero Z rating in Japan. As we all know different countries have different standards. Here we're real tight on sex but lax on violence, while in Japan it is the exact opposite, and there's certain elements of violence in Japan (just like there's certain elements of sex here) that they're very strict about.
Some o...
Just got back from mine, not a fantastic selection really. Mine has of note:
Duke Nukem Forever
inFAMOUS 2
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
GameStop employees were given vouchers to use the Creepy Crawler kickback (which is a GameStop preorder incentive) in the beta. If you see someone in the beta with that kickback they are either:
A) A GameStop employee.
B) A family member/friend of a GameStop employee.
C) Someone who bought the code from any of the above.
Not sure if there's a limit to how many employees were given them or if it was for certain GameStops in certain areas, b...
