Makes sense. It's not like the covenants were in FFXV where you had no clue on what to do. Makes sense to have conditions in Midgar. The team is doing a great job of making each enemy a legit threat and bumping some enemies up to semi-boss or boss fight like the train yard. Saving the big boys like Bahamut and Leviathan, KOTR etc for next game when you're exploring Gaia.
Cavill Superman picture looks good. We do need a Superman game.
It's funny how long time Tomb Raider fans don't like the new Lara and are severely disappointed in CD's direction of the trilogy. Yet, they love the first game in the new Trilogy.
I really want to see the DS5 now.
Yup, knew these questions/conversations would start popping off quickly.
Sucks to see it go. Networks are doing the same crap that they did to cable with all their streaming sites.
It matters only in a certain area. We all knew DS was coming to PC and that Kojima Productions is a second party and not Sony owned, BUT that was before they announced they were using a Sony First Party Game Engine. This will be the first PC release using one. Now Sony has to have a response once others realize this and start legitimately asking other PS Devs like Naughty Dog, what's stopping you from releasing Last of Us Part II on PC?
Kojima is of course NOT a First Party, BUT they are using a First Party game engine. That's the bigger issue here.
Dangerous precedent for Sony here. The original deal is old news. The bigger question here is this now presents people legitimately asking what's stopping other Sony First Party Games from releasing on PC and further devaluing the PS4/PS5.
Other PS exclusives have released on PC before, but they've NEVER been developed using a Sony owned First Party Developer's game engine.
FFXIV is the logical approach. It is everything that makes the franchise great.
You don't fuck with perfection.
Doesn't come as a surprise to me. It'll be 100% for PS4 naturally because of the x86 architecture. PS3 for damn sure will only happen through PS Now because of the Cell. Sony didn't put in a PS3 in the PS4 for BC. They've commented on this before. We'll see about PS1 and PS2. Most likely they'll just remaster the big titles.
$499.99 case closed. IF they release a PS5 Pro at launch then that'll be $599.99
Hopefully all these new features are Day One on PS5.
That would be funny. Shu reporting to his nephew Yoshida.
He retired per the Japanese press release.
I'e been J.J. Jameson laughing my ass to this thread.
1. Sony owns Insomniac Games and Spidey Film rights. Not Game rights.
2. Sony and Insomniac had to go to Marvel Games to use the IP for this exclusive.
3. IF Marvel Games wanted to, they COULD take it to another developer.
4. No other developer comes close to Insomniac Games released, just go look at Crystal Dynamics Avengers game.
5. Marvel needs Sony to put out a quality game.
These State of Play articles highly amuse me. These sites grasping at straws for clicks.
Remember that time people actually thought it was gonna release 4 days before FF7R? The amount of PS4's Sony will sell between these two games is gonna astronomical.
Everything lines up with WIRED's exclusive.
