I understand the hype part. Not the media though. Friends kept telling me how awesome a game this was and their favorite game ever, I think that definitely ruined the experience for me.
Now to clarify, I absolutely enjoyed this game and is deserving of it's awards and whatnot, just stating why it may not be one of my favorite games of all time. That would be a hard list to make regardless.
They should try it like Xbox. I can select which of my friends I want as "favorites" and those are the only ones I get notifications for when they sign on.
I can tell you it feels like halo and borderlands with a bit of mass effect in it as well, but it doesn't grab you right away like the first halo did. Also, in true Bungie fashion they leave you wanting more. You can max out the level in beta in like 2 hours and there is only about 5 quests and about 10-15 repeatable side quests.
My biggest complaint has been in the MP zone. How does the developer that made Halo screw up vehicles so bad? They are very overpowered and hard...

That also happened to me and my 2 buddies playing. We had to go in-game chat for it to work. When you are in a fireteam that is. Don't know why the party system wouldn't work.

Crackdown was good, if you had people to play with. Same with Vegas. Deus Ex was one of my favorite games in the past few years, couldn't tell you why exactly. Just was. Definitely kind of started slow and took a little getting use to but it grew on me quickly.
I liked ODST. Reach, not as much though. MP was good in that game but it just felt, weird to me.
Playing both of the other Witcher games, I can say that like other games monsters get easier to kill but in the Witcher understanding what their strengths/weaknesses are helps a lot. Also, stuff can kill you really fast if you don't go into a fight prepared (potions, sword oils, correct sword). Both games had a big learning curve for me.
@Ju It wasn't even 60 FPS on PC. It was locked at 30 all around. Look at this video of what happens to the game when you unlock the framerate to 60 on PC. Lol, it's awesome.
Start around 5:20 if you don't wanna watch him babble for a while.
I hate and love the sales at the same time. They really know how to get you to buy games.
Agreed, having your game visually appealing is what I think first immerses us into a game but if the other areas of the game are lacking or simply fail at delivering, then that's why a game is bad.
I guess it's just that everyone has their own taste/opinion but I still can't grasp the people that say they haven't seen anything or enough to convince to purchase console a/b/c. I only own an XB1 right now and am quite pleased with it and the games I play on it. I will purchase a PS4 and Wii U somewhere down the road soon as there is also games I want to play on those as well.
The only thing that is preventing me from owning another console right now is waiting ...
Basically the same reason games with timed exclusive content for the X1 aren't definitive versions. If Sony had wanted that, they could have went with what MS did with Titanfall and help fund development, not just pay for exclusive content.
Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't most Ubisoft published games the ones that get PS exclusive content more?
Only one I have purchased so far is Tomb Raider, only because I never got to play it last gen when it came out. The rest of those titles I have played except Rayman, never really played that series before.
I will be picking up the Halo Master Chief Collection though, 4 games for 60 bucks with the original Halo 2 mp? Yes please, huge nostalgia trip for me.
Places I read either didn't clarify or I misread, are they both available for free, or is just one now and another at the second half of the month?

I believe he is referring to the policy that basically says if a game is released on PS not at the same time as Xbox or not before PS, they won't allow it on their console. I also thought this pertained to Indies only, but I may be wrong. Crappy policy but hopefully it will be changed.
And I don't understand MegaDan what that clause has to do with this? They are clearly talking about exclusive content made for one platform or content coming first to one platform like ...
Among the internet companies putting on caps, I think both companies would still have to offer consoles with disk trays as another option. Not everyone wants to buy digital yet and not everyone has the internet speeds to download these games very fast at all.
Maybe next gen they will offer consoles without disk trays as the only option, but I don't think this gen will not have both options.
Lol, I like and hate the comparison because of my dislike for fighting Ryu and playing as Dan.
I mean I have seen some people play as Dan really well :)
