A quick glance shows me that Ghostbusters and The Orange Box were horribly ported to PS3...
I've never actually played split screen except for the Zombie mode. But I agree with your appraisal of the game overall, it just seems to be MW2's lesser cousin.
What really irks me are the technical hitches though. Where MW2 was a smooth online experience (for all it's inbuilt exploits), Black Ops (on PS3 which is what I play on) seems to be a technical train wreck.
go for 30 frames? pushing the bar? GT5 and Forza look bland? keep dreaming mate.
I'm guilty at times, but more cos my gf lives a fair drive away and has no car, so when I get that "I'm alone wink wink" phone call or text message, I sometimes say I can't make it for whatever reason if I'm right into a good game. But sex is way better than playing a game...

WTF is wrong with Porsche anyway? It's GT5, are they mentally handicapped? It's the highest selling and most dedicated racing/driving game franchise in history!

PS3 version is pretty stuffed too. There's the most horrible frame rate and lag issues... I'm almost heading back to ModWar 2....

Bravo. Also the fact you can't hear their gun fire either. You only seem to hear it if they are in front of you. Anyone to the side or behind you can't hear at all!
It doesn't seem to address general stability/frame rate/ etc. issues.
I don't care about some glitches in individual maps, the game isn't smooth! It's choppy as hell and as much as I want to love it, it's choppy performance annoys the hell outta me!

Reviewers are out of step with what real gamers believe most of the time anyway. They have all sorts of other motivations getting in the way.

The thing about this generation is, all the games bar a handful of exclusive titles are the same on each system. Back in the day where it was say, Nintendo v Sega v Sony, each console was differentiated by entirely different game libraries and hardware possibilities.
