If it's as over the top and stupid as the game, it's got the ingredients to be good.

I think the Ballad of Gay Tony struck the right balance.
Anyone with more than a mere rudimentary knowledge of the law would understand you don't own the actual software of any game, or indeed any program that you buy, the same way you don't own the story within a book, or the movie that's on your DVD.

The option to patch games now has just thrown all QA testing out the window.
It's problems built into the code- it doesn't work properly for everyone. Period.
You only need to see the literally thousands of complaints threads on the official forums, and search 2 minutes to find hundreds of reports on the obvious large scale PS3 issues. You ignore these faults at your own peril, they'll just keep screwing up your favourite games if you don't make your voice heard.
Black Ops hasn't been fixed at all. Frame rate is screwed, and you can't stay in a lobby or party at all.

Personally I think the styles are way too different to compare. They're sorta both in leagues of their own, unlike say COD and MOH.

I don't know why there are people out there who feel like they have to defend Black Ops for PS3. It runs horribly, and when everyone can admit that then that's when Treyarch will listen and fix it.
I don't think the frame rate has gotten better for you, I just think you are used to it.
I had the same feeling until I played Modwar 2 again. You realise how bad Black Ops really is.

Cue inevitable GT5 comparison: They'll have their work cut out for them besting GT5, and I fully expect GT5 to be quite a different game in 2011 to what it is now with all this word of evolving that game.
