You see... I thought this... until I actually played a few games of COD Ghosts and experienced stable servers and smooth gameplay after fighting with EA's train wreck that is BF4 for hours trying to simply stay in a game.
A stable playable COD experience is way more fun than a broken, crashing, constantly disconnecting Battlefield one. Any day.
But when (or if) BF4 works... then it'll be miles ahead.
Battlefield 4 on PS4 is my biggest disappointment. It was the one game I was really looking forward to at launch, a next gen Battlefield!
I feel like I've been robbed of $89 (AUD). It's a completely broken mess.
Probably patches in more DRM for PS4 version. My net connection routinely drops - just a shitty home network environment. This game becomes unplayable. It's a joke.
What a poor analysis. This assumes that everyone who encounters issues should take to the internet to complain about it if they care, whereas the complaints publicly viewable in this manner are more like a representative sample of what's occurring to all users. The reality is most people will just shout at their tv or to their immediate friends, not on a forum or social media.

On PS4 I get CE errors (crash to home screen) on both the campaign and online and rubber banding.
The worst part though is the quality of the servers. Most times I simply get disconnected from a server, and fail to connect to the 'session' to begin with. The servers are so unstable. I can play long uninterrupted sessions on Ghosts or Shadowfall, but BF I'll be lucky to join a game let alone stay in it for longer than 10 minutes.
It's a dig at Gran Turismo's 'Premium' vs 'Standard' models - standard being ported from PS2 to PS3.
I think the biggest issues are server related. I simple struggle to stay on a sever, always losing connection. BF3 and BC2 servers on PS3 were much more stable than BF4 PS4 servers.
I concur. DUST 514 beta on PS3 is more stable than BF4 on PS4. It's maddening considering we paid full retail price to be beta testers. We all know how the games market works. The closer you buy to launch, the more you pay. They'll start discounting after a month - but people who buy the product for less in a few months will get a better product than those who paid full price early on. You pay more for less.
It's horrible. It's DRM by stealth. Basically without an online connection, you can't use the vast majority of the game's features.
I got it on PS4, and first I found out was when my network and internet were running really shit the other day (which happens from time to time). I couldn't play the career OR MyGm (ie. Association) modes, just do quick matches. Without an online connection, it basically locks you out of the game.

Kind of a shame for Nintendo really. I've always had a soft sport for Nintendo and Mario. Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2 were some of my all time favourite games.

TBH, I'm a Metal Gear fan, but the series' detail is so hard to follow, I doubt I'll notice unless they're absolutely glaring.
I love the concept - a powerful PC without the bells and whistles. It'll let me enjoy PS4 and all those amazing PC games I've been missing.
Titanfall (hopefully) won't suck - it's the guys who were behind Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 - the best two online COD experiences on the last gen. It'll have a few bugs but those guys will be on it quickly.
BF4 was clearly and simply unfinished. It should simply be called Betafield 4 right now.
