@TheCommentator,
I agree, wished they would have just put a decent mic right next to that shiny new IR Blaster but the unfortunately didn't. Atlhough it's slightly more inconvenient, at least the capability to do it will be coming soon. Better than nothing.

@Nathan,
You cant argure that new PC parts are developed and released very frequently, meaning that a person can upgrade just as often as the new parts come out should they choose to. Just because you specifically don't upgrade your PC very often doesn't mean nobody else does. Also I'm willing to bet you spent more than $400 on building your PC.

I was never a fan of Kinect either. Good riddance in my opinion. Kinect was the sole reason I didnt buy an Xbox One at launch, but when Phil released a version without Kinect I got it the day it came out.

They currently are adding that functionality with Cortana being included in the next coming months. All you'll need is a headset plugged into your controller and then you can start giving voice commands.

The old concept of console gaming was you were forced to buy a console in order to play console exclusive games. So that means if you already had an expensive gaming PC, then you're out of luck - or if you don't have a PC but would prefer to play those games on an expensive PC, then you're out of luck. What MS is doing now is just providing more options for people to play the same game at different price points. Buy a game once and have the option to play it on the device that fi...

If it's a Microsoft made game and the person is very interested in the said game then the only way to play it on the PC would NOT be on Steam. So people now have to weigh their options of... don't spend the money on a game that you are interested in just because you aren't buying it through Steam, or... buy the game you are interested in because you love video games and you were very interested in the game you just bought. Food for thought, I guess.

It would be a Sony exclusive. Meaning, the only way to play the game is if you own a Sony product (i.e. a PS4 or a PSVita). Is that a hard concept to understand?

"what’s my incentive to buy an Xbox One S, when a more powerful Xbox will be available in 18 months’ time?"
By the time the Xbox Scorpio comes out next year I'm willing to wager that the Xbox One S 2TB will be $300 or at the very highest $350. The Scorpio could very well be $500, so if you wanted to save that extra $150 then you could just buy the Xbox One S, or if you want the better graphics you can spend the extra money and get the Scorpio. Don't have any 4K TVs ...

As Cueil said,

If you buy the Microsoft Exclusive game on your Windows 10 gaming PC then MS makes money. They give literally no shits anymore if you own an Xbox if you already have a W10 PC and bought their game. If you don't want to spend the money on an Xbox then you don't have to but you can NOW play those previously MS console exclusive games on your awesome gaming PC. AND YOU'RE UPSET!?!?!?

@andresegr
It's their exclusives that they are trying to sell. Literally the only ways to play those games are on Xbox or Windows 10 Store. I don't disagree that there needs to be vast improvement to the Windows 10 Store, but the principal is that if a person finds the GAME to be exciting and wants to buy/play it - they can only do it on either the XBO or through the W10S. They cannot get the exact game on a Sony console nor on Steam.

You completely miss the point. There's a HELL of a lot more money to be made through software for 200 million Windows 10 devices than there would be for 80 million Xbox Ones. Especially considering console sales makes either none or extremely minimal profit per unit sold.

It's really not a hard concept to understand, but you keep up your delusions kid.

"Exclusive" now just means Microsoft exclusive. Go try to play the games on a PS4, NX, or a Mac. There are SO many Windows 10 PCs out there it would be stupid not to bring their games to that market. The majority of money is made through software sales, not hardware.

The kinect was a forced accessory that the vast majority of consumers did not want. This was durring the time of Maddock who was horrible. Since Phil took over, he has done wonders for the Xbox One. ...

Dear Sony, if you would make a prosumer level DS4 like the Xbox Elite controller for $150 I would love to buy one.

3524d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

It's quite simple, really. If you don't already know how to build a PC and also don't have the $800-$1500 it would take to build an actual GOOD machine then you could always just pay MS $400-$500 for a well-built gaming-purposed console and then won't have to think twice about again. I do wish Steam would be able to make it's way onto consoles but I understand how impossible that is going to be.

I would personally love to see MS launch a new Xbox in 2017. It's a shame how Don Maddick handled the Xbox One launch and I absolutely could not respect Phil Spencer more for his efforts in righting Maddick's wrongs. Although there is a huge misconception that the Xbox One is selling woefully, the reality is that the Xbox One is quite alright with sales figures besting the Xbox 360 in the same time frame. There is no doubt the PS4 is selling PHENOMENALLY, but that fact alone does not ...

Although I do not strictly consider Doom a full-fledged arena shooter, I do think it is a good stepping stone for newer gamers to be introduced to arena shooter gaming of old (Quake 3, Unreal Tournament). I think Doom is a well-made merger of modern day FPS and the great arena shooters from the past. The game-play is simply top-notch in my opinion. Doom's single player campaign was some of the purest fun I've had from a video game in a long time. My only big criticism of the multiplay...

Damn, you cave in too easily. You gotta stand up to these greedy ass giant corporations who are trying their hardest to get every single cent out of you. Vote with your wallet man, jesus. It's also extremely likely they will release the remaster as a stand alone purchase a few months after Infinite Warfare releases. Patience....

I agree. I think their ego is just too inflated for them to put a true legacy server in place. For the past few years the WoW team has been inferring to the community that we don't know what we really want and that we should just blindly follow their decisions. I honestly just wish they would make a legitimate sequel to WoW that draws many inspirations from vanilla. But that's about as likely as half-life 3 being released.

3557d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Can they? Yes. Will they? No. It would look terrible for their team if more people would rather play a 10-year old version of the game rather than the current live version.

It's a purely greed driven decision in my opinion. I feel like they are dangling a carrot in front of the horses here where many people are completely done with todays COD but would love to have the MW Remastered, I think they are betting on a lot of people laying down their $80 primarily for MW Remastered. I would have bought MW Remastered if they sold it separately but now it looks like Activision will get none of my money.
