WOHD has now been ruined through advertising on the load screens !! As much as I miss the game, I simply won't play it anymore due to this unethical action. If they had told me upfront, that later on down the line I would have to put up with advertising that I didn't request OR want - in other words - unsolicited, I wouldn't have purchased the game in the first place. In fact, I'm considering requesting my money back! Now I'm sure their answer would be 'Yes, but it's in the EULA' . However,do...
to combine these two threads, and have Deadspace co-op!
to the original atari joystick!! Who needs more than one digital stick anyway? And one button is more than enough! These new joypads -so MANY buttons and analogue sticks,it's just so confusing.
I hope this little bit of irony isn't wasted on some of you Luddites.Truth be known, many of you only disagree because it's Microsoft's project and not Sony's.For me,Natal is unlikely to replace joypads and remotes overnight, but similar technology will, eventually, that's for certain.
on this, pretty much sums it up for me! :(
I would just like to point out a well known truth about electronic devices.- ANY - electrical/electronic device is more likely to break down in the first year of it's use.If it doesn't break down within the first year, then it's likely to last for it's estimated lifetime. Unless, of course, it has a specific design flaw. So, the only real conclusion you can draw from this article is, the new generation XBOX360 console behaves inline with all other electronic devices! Pathetic maths and unsound...
How about a updated 'Rescue on Fractalus'! With today's technology, that could be really cool. Or maybe a modern twist on Koronis rift. :)
I would say this is consistent with past years.However,PS3 is actually the better value console, finally. I didn't think I would say this, but PS3 now gives pound for pound, more for your money AND at an attractive price point. Also with the new slim model fresh in peoples minds it may make the difference come Christmas.Only downside to this generally speaking,is the UK market has a similar taste in games to the US,hence the 360's popularity here.
You've had your chance to lobby you local MP and warn him/her that you'll switch votes at the next election if this bill goes through.Did you do it? This has been coming for a while now and inaction on the part of the British people has, as usual, landed us squarely in it! Our current government is probably the most corrupt, greedy and incompetent government ever, but please don't think the Tories are a real alternative. No, if you really want change, look around the Web, get informed, and take...
I think a lot of you guys are being over generous with Sony.Anyway, here's how I think it may go. Yes, the free will remain free, however,we'll probably be bombarded with endless commercials in lieu of any payment. And if you think that's unlikely, well what about WOHD ? There I was enjoying my fave game, then one day I loaded it up and WTF - adverts on the loading screen!! Needless to say I don't play it any more. What next? Pay for BBC iplayer! I think Sony need new revenue streams to support ...
Current tech? Well, I should hope so.
I did have a lockup after updating to 3.10, but after turning off -on again, everything is fine. Besides, cosmetically there may be differences, but I don't thing electronically there's any differences other than miniaturization, between the old and slim models, is there?
too much on the graphics front. There's only so much you can do with the limited power available from this generation of consoles. And, after all, this will be an action title, which means some processing time will be required.Unlike some of these so called graphical masterpieces that are, in actuality, nothing more than interactive movies - no processing required, you see?.You know what I mean. When button appears on screen, press said button to move your character out of danger!! Jeez we had tha...
I would like to see them on PC and PS3/360. Why not? A good game should be enjoyed by as many gamers as possible, shouldn't it? I can see why MS and Sony wouldn't like it that way, but gamers should be united on this one.
why do PS3 owners care enough to post on this?? Well, yeah, I'm a PS3 owner, but I got a 360 also. You know what? Maybe we should have a PS360 owners section, that way we can actually have some meaningful comments about games and gaming. What you say? :)
pick this game up online for as little as £32.00 for 360 version, which is probably a decent buy. I wouldn't have purchased at the RRP, though.
forward to this title, and for me it would be a system seller if I hadn't already purchased. As for Heavy rain being a niche title and therefore not a system seller. I have to say, I believe that is the case with all PS3 exclusive titles, don't you think? For me KZ2 is the nearest 'mass appeal 'exclusive PS3 has had, but unfortunately it wasn't that good.well,I didn't think so,anyway.
was the price of the damn game! Very clever distraction tactics by IW, I think.
Heavy rain, absolutely, can't wait. The rest....meh, each to their own.
is indeed,spiffing!
I think we all agree the PS3 hasn't been successfully hacked or at least not in significant numbers. So,why is it PS3 games cost either the same,or sometimes slightly more than 360 games? I thought the games industry claimed piracy was one of the main reasons for high games prices? Someone out there is telling porkies! You guys need to except both Sony and MS, royally, rip off the punters. By comparison the odd pirate is an absolute saint!
