Time and time again we get this same rubbish. Only one figure counts,TOTAL number of units sold. Doesn't matter what country, for how much, for how long, or indeed, how many add ons you have to buy.So then,TOTAL number of units sold.First place, to date? Yep, it's the mighty Wii, and second....?

When the TOTAL sales figure changes, then come back and make your comment, until then you have NOTHING!

Now, overall profits, that's a different kettle of fish. Wanna make a ...

Firstly, try using remote proxies, open DNS and a SSL account. Just a few of the many ways to thwart those invading our privacy!! However,Silentshank, i would like to ask you how the people who sent you an email regarding Crysis, knew of your activities? Personally, i believe they are committing an offence by inspecting or interfering with your internet traffic.Who is the biggest pirate, you for illegal downloads or them for -what should be- illegal interception of your data! Try monitoring y...

-the developers that is- include these 'virtual' loses in their pricing strategy,to some extent anyway? Like,if all car drivers had insurance, then premiums would go down, right? And if no software piracy existed, games would cost a fraction of their current price, makes perfect sense to me,!:) In reality,i'll wait to see a developer driving a Focus rather than a Ferrari before i'm convinced:)To be honest, i'm still waiting for the sales of my downloaded 70's disco albums to go up after the Nap...

Firstly, the assumption that cracking down on software piracy will somehow increase software sales significantly is erroneous. The majority of people who are pirating software will NOT go out and buy it, and never will. There are many reasons for this, far too many to discuss in a few lines.
Okay the important stuff, then.A question to all you budding lawyers out there. Who owns your transmitted data while it crosses boundaries on it's way to it's destination? What legal right does any go...

I'm with you guys. The original Colonisation was, and still is a great game. A new version with upgraded graphics will be welcome.Does this means i can git rid of that old DOS box now?

Did MS run out of their original xbox fans? Yep. Damn right, they did!
Are Ms the only company ever to do this? Nope, not by a long chalk. For whatever reason, quite a number of consoles or handheld's have,in the past, bit the dust relatively short lived.

I don't believe this time around will be the same, and here's why. 360 is a popular and successful machine- it's making money. So, even if MS releases their 720, that doesn't mean no more 360. This time round fans and dev...

Not because his review is either right or wrong, couldn't care less about that. However, i'm sick and tired of the 'unless you agree with me,you're an ass' mentality, that plagues this site! I don't bother making comments on games anymore, because of this very reason. Many of you people are not gamers, you're zealots, simple as that. You take the fun and enjoyment out of gaming sites.

Most of this thread is taken up by people complaining whether the news should have been posted or not! What is the point of that? Sounds to me you're all fanboys from both sides. Here's a tip for you. If you can't stand reading about the games or info on another console, then don't read it. I know we have to have some rules governing what gets posted, but do we really need to discuss that here.I respect you guys for posting, but please stop bickering.Personally,i don't scout the whole interne...

I always thought this was common knowledge, that PS3 has a younger audience.Maybe this explains their somewhat feverish fanboyism.Still, i have no idea what excuse the supposedly, more mature 360 fanboys would use for their similar behaviour! Also, there are exceptions. I'm shortly to buy a PS3 and i'm probably the oldest gamer on the site,so there!

Edit: Jeez. It wasn't a scientific comment titntin, just a bit of fun.Okay i retract my statement, PS3 is purchased by all ages for...

I think the word 'smear' has more to do with the intention of the author, than a genuine analysis of the footage,so i'm not going to raise to the bait too much. However,i have downloaded and watched the video and while there was definitely more going on in the scenes and that's good, i can't help feeling what we are seeing is was one of those utterly BORING 'on rail sections' that still plague some modern games,COD4 as you know, is littered with them! Anyway, graphically it's early days and su...

if this has already been said, since i haven't read every single post.Anyway, ignoring Nintendo for the moment, there is no doubt among the Sony faithful, that PS3 will win console war and why not? It's good hardware, good games are coming along and the online service is improving, so yeah, it's possible. The problem i have with those sentiments is no matter how much you admire Sony or the PS3, it's impossible by using the current facts at least, to show Sony as the winner.A couple of examples; it'...

and an honest one.Probably not popular with the fan boys, but accurate nonetheless.I have one issue though. He say's it's the little things that make the difference, well if they make that much difference then they're the big things aren't they?

On the one hand it's claimed many of the PS3 sales are due to people buying them as movie players, right? On the other hand they are now saying Blu ray is failing due to lack of take up of the movies! Which is it guys? Is there some spin going on here?

No.Passing the xbox 360 was essential if Sony have any hope of maintaining this generation. Not being funny, but i suspect MS will be quite happy with their performance and Sony will be much happier now, than before.I don't say this out of any preference or bias, but i really don't think Sony would have anticipated such a strong presence by MS in this generation.Ultimately ,Sony will probably sell more numbers ,but MS won't be too distraught about it.Both consoles are winners AND losers in my ...

since you can upgrade easily on Sony's machine.(good move Sony)However,it's the loss of the other features that's more of a concern to me.I was waiting for a wipeoutHD release before a PS3 purchase, but i'm not keen on buying a stripped down model, bad move Sony. You have turned me into a possible purchaser rather than a definite one,not cool, not cool at all.

between a movie and a video game.Watching a movie is a very passive experience, interacting with a video game is not.You very rarely if ever, feel part of a movie, but you can become that connected to a video game. And if that game is violent, then you may feel violent too.Especially if that game tries to be realistic like GTAIV.As i've said before, it's not a question of banning such games,it's more why people want to play them and even more puzzling, why devs would want to create them.Just ...

on this site have agreed that a non hdd sku is MS' biggest mistake.Still, it's maybe worth looking at this from a different perspective.Who thinks MS would have sold more consoles if they had made HDD standard? I certainly don't think so,because the people who have purchased a HDD-less console would possibly not have bought the more expensive HDD SKU and plumped for the Wii instead. So from a business perspective it was probably a wise move, just not from a gamers p.o.v.Same applies to all the ...
