the PS3 will still have RAM problems. Hell, it's only got 512MB in total, for every thing, get it? Jeeez, you can't buy a graphics card with less these days.Of course, this applies equally to the 360.However you wanna split the memory up, it's a paltry 512MB, that won't increase no matter how much you wish it.them's the facts people, deny them if you choose.Neither machine will see it's full 'potential', because Sony and MS skimped on memory. Ever heard the saying 'you can't fit a quart into a...

For answering my questions.
@apoc06 There's more than one version coming out for PS3?

It's pretty poor! Graphics are what you'd expect in an arcade machine and are definitely,to my way of thinking,PS2 quality with added polish, but not 'next gen'. Sorry,i know people love Sega, but this is pi$$ poor.Ok maybe if you like arcady type racing, then this could be for you, but its more ridge racer that Dirt, thats for sure.

This could be my possible reason to buy a PS3. Therefore, Can anyone please tell me if the courses included so far,can actually be navigated without constantly bumping in to the corners? I ask, because i haven't played wipeout since the PS2 version and while i did complete most of it, i felt many of the corners were nigh on impossible to get round, even with piranha. Also,Why are they not developing new courses? And when is it released for Europe?

Other than two player coop, looks pretty 'more of the same' to me.Probably tacked on storyline and constant action ,but with no real purpose.Of course, could be wrong. As usual,we'll have to wait until release.

does it matter? No! 5yrs is plenty long enough for a console, thats borne out by the history of games consoles so far.Sony wanted to give more than a console, but consumers, in the main, don't want more, well, at least not at a higher premium. So, what happens is the success of the 360 and the WII.Simple really. No Sony ifs, buts, maybe's or eventually. Just, MS NOW for a good price. Get it?

If Sony can tell reviewers how to review their games, then they sure as hell can tell consumers how to buy their console.Consumers,we are so dumb! Thank god we have Sony to show us the way.I have been waiting for quite a while now for PS3 to give me a reason to buy, but Sony seem intent in trying to put me off! This move doesn't help.

just can't help making a comment about how uncool it is! See the logic??

If, as a developer you had Halo 3 in your face everyday, knowing you will never create anything remotely as cool.Yeah.Then, i guess you would say F*ck halo

but if you serioulsy believe that next gen consoles won't wipe the floor with the PS3 and 360,in less than 5yrs, you are dillusional. The components of both the PS3 and 360 are P.C based in origin and ALREADY well outdated.I understand your faith in Sony, they have afterall, produced the leading consoles for a number of years now. However, when you deny the inevitable, you deny the truth.
Peace to you also.

'Flogging a dead horse'. MS will never have real success in the land of the rising sun, as long as there is an equivalent Japanese console available.Software will help, but given the choice, Japanese people will go with a Japanese console, nat.

I'll wager there is not one of you PS3 guys that bought your console thinking,Hmmm games will be great in six years time! You got it expecting great games NOW! And depending on your viewpoint, you may consider it already does have great games now.Look, it is true that the PS2 is still producing great software and it's also the most advanced software it's yet produced. So, if that's the case, why did you bother getting a PS3?? You know the answer, don't you. Yes. It's because no matter how good...

also listen to others. We don't gain anything by listening to just ourselves, well, unless you are speaking spiritually, that is.Reviewers,in the main are intelligent educated and experienced professionals within their industry. As such they are at least worth considering wouldn't you say? The final word as always,is yours, but reviews as a guide i think, give useful information.Of course, with most current developers offering demos, before you commit your hard earned cash, reviews are starting ...

Well, clearly not.Since it cost about $800.00 to produce, and each unit is sold at a loss.I don't see how it can be described as overpriced. However, is it GOOD VALUE? Ah, now there's the rub.Currently, i would say no, it isn't good value for money. This IMO is mainly due to a lack of compelling software and the limited use of its, so called, extra features. In time, my view will probably change, but i think its fair to say, that currently, the PS3 is reasonably priced, but poor value. The first ...

The devs appear to have mismatched a squad based mechanic with a fast paced fps type game. This game should have been single or co-op FPS not squad based, which is more suited to tactical type shooters like GRAW.Shame, but the mechanic just doesn't suit the genre to my way of thinking.

For the vast majority of television viewers in the U.K the BBC is a pain in the ar$e.Unlike most other countries, where you pay for the T.V services you choose to watch. Here in the U.K. we have to pay to the BBC, £135.00 a year -roughly $250.00 - for a 'T.V licence',before we are legally allowed to watch ANY T.V stations, regardless of company or service. We then pay for the channels we actually WANT on top of that. The argument put forward by the BBC is that this licence payment is to ens...

I agree with David Braben 100% .This kind of software is worthy or representative of the industry! Let alone the the message it puts across to vulnerable kids.Bottom line is, these kind of games are often made ,because it's likely to make money on 'shock factor',regardless of quality or gameplay and that's just a cheap thing to do! Seriously, ask yourself why would someone WANT to make a game with such content? Sometimes it's more important to look at why people do the things they do, rather ...

has other excellent features as standard. It's problem? Well, we all know don't we? Yes.It's the price! However, the cost is coming down and the software is slowly beginning to emerge,if only it didn't rely quite so much on Japanese influences for its games.Of course, thats just my dislike of hack n' slash showing, but give me a next gen wipeout and i would buy today.No. I'll never get rid of my 360 and i would even be tempted in to a Wii,what with Mario kart multiplayer on the horizon, but all t...

From a Manufactures point of view,10 years and two models is probably a reasonable strategy, but from a gamers perspective, a new console every four a five years is best.Couple of years and i'll be ready for my X720.
