@13, you guys forget the one major factor that the ps3 was built with the goal of it lasting ten years. I dont think MS engineered the 360 to last that long. I think their goal is to establish their own synonymous brand of gaming consoles. my brother has a wii, and although i like it just cant be compared to the other two. I look at the wii as a revamped last gen system, and that its direct competition is the ps2.

well i for one welcome these updates, i imported my dual-shock 3 last week and i love it. Didn't realize how much i missed it until i played warhawk with it, and let me tell you its so much better with rumble. I thinks its a good move by sony getting games ready for this feature before the controller is released mainstream in NA.

this is what really matters about gaming, not whose leading some dumb sales war. I got every new system for christmas up until the n64. My brother and i had a system, if there were two consoles out at one time i would ask my mom for one and he would ask his dad for the other. Sadly we grew up and had to buy our own but for us it wasn't christmas unless we had at least one game. Fanboy politics can really rob a person of the joy in gaming.
At 1.1, in my own personal experience when i used to use memory sticks i found that when you plug it in and the icon pops up press the square button and display all folder contents. Hope that helps
RE2 was not a ps1 exclusive it was also out on n64 its just no one seemed to care

that would be a really desperate move, why would they drop the price if their console is already cheaper. And why would you see that act a desperation as a good thing if your console is supposedly superior? And i'm sure you will pull the "Sony did 2 price drops blah blah blah". the 360 does not outsell the ps3 on game where there is a following. I seriously doubt that the 360 will sell more DMC4 when it has so much history and success on the ps brand. Fanboyism has nothing to do with my logic i have both xbox and 360. Its just common sense, you shouldn't be so self-conscious about your system. And as far as attatchment rate goes thats always subject to change.

No i don't think it will, but i do think it would screw every early adapter to the system. If their business plan is or was to give consumers a choice then they should have offered all the choices at the same time where consumers would have been able to make the best possible choice in the beginning.
