If the Switch can run Witcher 3 decently and doing so looking better than a lot of 360/ PS3 games, its got the juice. Blame GF who clearly are not comfortable yet the Switch hardware, hoping Generation 9 shows better results
Seems like GameFreak made a solid title that tries something new. Excited for how this will innovate Generation 9 Pokemon games. Can't wait to play it tomorrow

It would be criminal for Psychonauts 2 to not win it. Its a brilliant game whose writing far exceeds anything else on this list. Masterpiece in its genre, def better than Deathloop and R&C lmao
I love R&C but it doesn't beat the Future series in terms of gameplay and story. Great game just not GOTY lvl for me

Pretty sure Bethesda titles are much more known to a vastly larger audience than most Sony PS exclusives. Last I checked Skyrim and Fallout are more well known titles than UC. God of War's prolly the only thing they have that may come on par
Besides Ratchet and Clank and Demon Souls, no game this generation has looked "next-gen" because both Microsoft and Sony refuse to leave their older consoles behind when it comes to game development
Theres a lot of turnaround in the gaming industry right now...lots of overworked staffers and this isn't even talking about how awful some of the leadership in these game studios can be. This isn't even exclusive to Microsoft, but its clear when you're bringing in outside help with game development, either you've lost a significant portion of your staff that isn't leadership or the Initiative is doing a ton of projects at the same time
Neither game is "next-gen" can't say that as so when they both are releasing for last generation products

Having played it for the last 3-4 hours, the game is a breath of fresh air and Pokemon needed this, by no means is it a good game, absolutely not, but to shoot down points because it doesn't contain the same tired mechanics of mainline game is just dumb
