You raised a few great points as I can't stand the recent groundswell of anti-sony conspiracies.
To add another point; I think one reason why the big Sony exclusives haven't been given great scores (90+) are the fact they are not particularly great 'packages'. By packages I mean game that has a great deal of added value.
Halo 3 / orange box / gears / forza 2 all got high scores due to being a great package. Maybe not containing the best single player or the best ...

'skate 1' is already awesome. All they need to do in 'skate 2' is add a feature to get off your board, add a few more tricks and tweak the gameplay slightly.

the actual source of these figures are VGChartz who are only guessing. Wait until official numbers are released before jumping to conclusions.

I agree with snoop that the fanboys are just as bad on both sides. I have been on the site for a while and the fanboys go in cycles according to the most recent news. During GDC, Sony fans came out from everywhere but slowly got replaced by more 360 fans as Sony failed to deliver anything they spoke about at the conference.
Halo 3 has really brought the worst out in both sides over the last week. Sony fans promoting bad stories whilst also bad mouthing good stories and 360 fans...
another disappointing review by GameSpot; really going off GameSpot at the moment.
The reviewer doesn't seem that he really understands what skate is all about and thats skating. I have had so much fun in the demo I cant wait to get the game in a couple of days. I also loved this part of the review:
"The online performance can be a little spotty and seems to really depend on the connection speeds of the other players, as well as your own."

its comparing sales figures for 2007 which does not include the vast majority of the 360's head start.
so to summarise for users not want to read the article:
1 - 360 holds a year sales lead over PS3 and is getting bigger since the price drop.
2 - PS3 sales haven't been great since the launch window (first 4 weeks)
3 - 360 sales haven't been great this year but are picking up after the price drop.
whilst your numbers are correct, you are forgetting exchange rates around the world. In the UK they are making $80 - $90 on the standard, $90 - $100 on the limited and $140 on the legendary.

Same old Pro Evo, shooting seems slightly different(more like fifa 08 in my opinion), Graphically very disappointing, menus look as bad as usual.
overall still the best football game but why cant they start making greater improvements? Pro Evo is not perfect!
I can confirm this to be true.
My friend mentioned that he had received an email from gameplay saying that his reserved copy of Halo 3 had been sent earlier due to the amount of orders they had taken.
it says that it was dispatched today so it should be in his hands friday.
Wasn't sure if to believe him at first but this confirms it.

Having read most the reviews of skate., this is the only negative one.
He didn't like the audio which most have found fanstatic and complained about lag during online play. Lag causes problems in every game, be it skate. or Gears, but I guess I will give my judgement when I pick up the game.
I can see how the camera can become a problem but after playing the demo a few times poisitioning becomes easy.
Still thought he would have gave it an 8 from ...
if anyone can find out more information about iTV then please let me know as my media center has not got the new feature yet.

TH in comparison to skate... well there is no comparison as Skate is 9/10 and Tony Hawks is 3/10.
I would recommend playing the skate demo as some people will not like the controls so hopefully PS3 owners will get the demo soon.

I know you cant use the Zune Martketplace but that doesn't really bother me but might bother some people. I bought it from amazon for £70 and my girlfriend sent it back so it cost £85 in the end. Still a bargin compared to how much they will cost in the UK.
