Xbox is making a really strong play for next gen. Good on them. Good competition from so y has really forced them to step up their game. One can only hope Sony does the same.

I think Microsoft deserves some credit here. The work and effort they put into making backward compatibility a thing this generation wasn’t a small feat. And I think it forced the competition to rethink their approach of selling remasters and making back compat available thru paid streaming options.

God of war 2018 was the best game I played on my PS4 and god of war was one of my favourite games ever. Just perfect. I loved the pacing. Never got bored. Combat wast great. I have a switch and Xbox. Switch for my tween daughter Xbox for me. I play the games I like not sales. Gamepass let’s me do that. I bought a switch and contributes to its sales numbers but definitely like enjoy used and play a lot more games on Xbox. Controller is better. 4K player. Apps like prime Netflix YouTube Spotify. Switch sold more than Xbox, I guess Xbox sucks now?
I think it is surprising. Nintendo has always had exclusives and that doesn’t guarantee sales. The system before (Wii u) bombed bad. And in fact it had a lot of the same “great exclusives” ported over to switch like kart8 and smash ultimate for example. So to try and attribute sales to their games only doesn’t make much sense.
