I had a similar experience to you. Played god of war in pro. Then gears 5 in one x. After gears, I went back to finish up god of war and it was jarring playing a triple a game in only 30fps compared to gears 60 FPS.
Anyways tables have turned better to get used to it. Series x is more powerful. And Sony's “secret sauce” Articles will be plenty going forward.
Series x will still load a lot faster. Ps5 maybe faster still. But games will look and play ...

You can disagree with facts all you want. But it’s why Microsoft demoed ray tracing and talked about real time ray tracing while Sony talked about “global illumination”

Except it’s already done for series x. Any game that plays one Xbox one (inc 360 & OG Xbox) automatically works on series x with improvements. Devs dont have to do anything. The system is designed to automatically noose performance of older games. That’s what Sony is working on. The two weeks of work was in regards to how easy it is to actually specifically update the game to use specific improvements

Getting Series x to start. It’ll have the better multiplats. Graphics and FPS. And with game pass access to a lot more games and all first party titles pushing the 12tf hardware. Ps5 later after price drop and lots of exclusive games have been released.

Regardless I think it’s fair today ms approach to back compat is better. Even with initiatives like cross by. It’s more user/consumer friendly at this point. They also confirmed that Xbox one x controllers will work on series x and if you buy the new series x controller it can even work on the OG Xbox one. Nice little win for consumers there.
I get what your saying. A next gen tf is more than a last gen tf. Still do t change the fact comparing ps5 and series x. Series x is 2 “next gen” tf more than ps5. So by your own reasoning, series x is more ahead than ps5 than one x was more ahead of pro.
There’s a 2 tf difference between one x and pro and series x and ps5. But the tf now mean more.

When Xbox one x is 6 tf. PS5 coming in at 10 tf, not even doubling what’s available now it doesn’t even make it seem like a proper next gen. Series x ftw with 12tf
Tables have turned. Never thought Sony would be the one with “secret sauce” and gimmicks. That propriety custom sounds stuff is non sense.
not gonna lie. not feeling it. it's getting closer to the xbox controller design. I think the new refinements made to the xbox game pad for the series x looks better than this to me.
