I heard an interesting hypothesis about Mario games.
Mario is a stalker that is chasing the Princess Peach and Bowser is Peach's boyfriend that is trying to protect her from Mario.
Mario is evil!
I bought the original Darksiders on a whim and I was surprised by the quality of the game.
The game is a combination of God of War style combat, Zelda like puzzles, a platformer, with a bit of exploration. Normally I would assume these things don't mix but Darksiders pulls it off.
I'm looking forward to the sequel. If anyone hasn't tried Darksiders yet you should.

Robots changing into vehicles is a very old concept in anime. They have been doing it for decades. There is even a toy in North America that ripped off the concept called "Transformers".

FF XIII is a much better game than Dragon Age II but you don't hear constant whining in forums about DA II. Yes, the majority of FF XIII fans know you are just hating on the game for no reason.
FF XIII isn't the best FF ever but it's still an above average game.

Dark Souls doesn't have separate characters for single player, and multi-player. It also doesn't have separate maps. It's all just one world.

Revenue doesn't mean a lot.
If a company has a revenue of 15 billion but expenses of 20 billion then they are losing 5 billion.
A company with 5 billion of revenues with expenses of 2 billion is making 3 billion.
A list that shows how much profit (revenue - expenses) would be much more meaningful.
Is there actually a game Versus?
The reason I ask is the only thing I've ever seen was a trailer for it but I've never seen any game play footage.

I think Carmack focuses on tech too much rather than good game play.
There are games for the ps2 like Shadow of the Colossus that are significantly better than most games this generation despite lower resolutions.
I think game developers need to stop pixel counting and start look at improving game play so that new types of games can be created. I'm personally getting bored with generic shooters, and zombie games.
This is why I don't buy Bethesda games on release day.
