From what I've seen so far it appears it will be very expensive to own a Xbox One. To take advantage of all its features you will have to pay a good chunk of money every month.
Xbox Live $
Internet Service $$
Full Priced Games $$$
Cable TV Service $$$$$$$
Plus Netflix, Hulu or what ever extra services you choose to get $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
What's the point of selling discs if there's a mandatory install? Should just make it download only. Must be Microsofts way of changing to digital distribution and hoping we won't notice. I don't mind digital distribution on my iPad because most games only cost $5 more or less. But if I'm spending $60+ I want a physical copy with no restrictions.
XBOX ONE:
Hard Drive not user replaceable
Controller using AA Batteries
No Bluetooth
Uses a power brick
No Used Games
Xbox Live, the service that keeps on taking
Outdated RAM
Looks like my old VCR
The all-in-one box might work in 2013, but it's been attempted many times before and failed. Anybody remember the Commodore CDTV or The Philips CD-i?
A nice system to compete with Roku 3 or Apple TV. Thats about it I guess.
Tie: Red Dead Redemption and Fallout 3/New Vegas
Unless your TV is 80" or more you won't be able to tell much difference from 1080p. Until iTunes, Netflix, etc. start supplying 4k content its kind of pointless right now.
What if you're already using a projector for gaming, guess you're out of luck.
Still can't bring myself to wear a bluetooth headset in public, no way you will ever see me wearing one of these. Looks like a douch.
I was just wishing the other day that I still had my NUON dvd player with Tempest 3000.
Don't have a cable box, don't want one, Cable TV is Dead.
Brilliant!, that's how to do DLC!
The WiiU is starting to look really good now.
Very sad about Rage 2, but not too surprised. Rage is one of my favorite games of all time. I have not interest in Doom, maybe Quake but not really. Oh well, I'll keep playing Rage.
Dogs sold me, been wishing for dogs since San Andreas.
I'm excited for this one, had a difficult time getting into GTA IV. I didn't like the protagonist, felt like I was playing Grand Theft Borat.
Where's GTA HD collection on blu-ray?
Can't play cassettes either, deal breaker!
Microsoft better do something, they're already years late with a tablet and phone and having a very hard time catching up to everyone else. Also, Windows 8 has been a catastrophic failure so far. It's being outsold by Vista, thats not good.
I almost forgot about DVR service. I'm sure that's not free. I can guarantee that NFL thing is not cheap either.
