Due to the huge sales and momentum of PS4, I think Sony made the decision early this year to give their first party developers more time to develop their games (didn't help Drive Club though). This has led to game delays but should give PS4 an incredibly strong lineup of exclusives from 2015 onwards. I think Sony would be happy to match Xbox One sales in the US and UK this Xmas period knowing that the PS4 exclusive game line up from early 2015 onwards will dispel any criticisms of a lack...
The amount of money Sony gets from PS+ must be far in excess of what it costs for the PS+ game offerings. So, Sony 'should' be pumping a lot of money into online infrastructure. I do think there is no excuses for Sony now re online issues. In saying that, I think Sony has been a bit caught out by the huge PS4 sales putting a strain on its network. I also think Sony is in cost saving mode which is limiting their ability to invest appropriately.
I've never understood, until now, why a rebooted Motorstorm wasn't a PS4 launch title. It would probably have been a graphical tour de force at 1080P\60FPS and given Evolution much more time to work on Drive Club.
I agree it is a debacle, multiplayer tonight was just a mess. I think the lesson here is that pre-release open betas need to be the norm for games like this to fully test server loads etc. I can't see these problems going away any time soon and Sony's oversight of the game must also be questioned.
2015 is looking to be huge for games after a somewhat underwhelming 2014. Looking forward to new IPs for Xbox One and PS4.
Microsoft must be concerned that Xbox One is getting so far behind PS4 in sales when PS4 has had a pretty unremarkable year so far in regards to exclusives.
Would be great if the game engine could be licenced to other developers. The game has a really unique look about it. I'm really looking forward to 'indy' games like this, WiLD and No Man's Sky next year on PS4.
No friends notifications, ability to pause downloads and DLNA support etc. Why does Sony have a site for consumers to add their most requested features iif Sony are not listening?

What a ridiculous comment. Pls enlighten yourself.

Project Cars will be the only racing sim on PS4 for the foreseeable future, apart from F1 2015. I like 'sterile'racing sims not a big fan of arcade racing games. Drive Club is more of an arcade racer but it will do for now.
I wasn't going to buy it but due to the Project Cars delay I will now get Drive Club in the next week or two. I have been hanging out for a driving game and the lack of such on PS4 has been disappointing.
PS4 will be off to a great start in 2015 with quite a lot of multi plats and exclusives coming Jan - Mar. Project Cars is now joining them, Mar 15.
Now confirmed, unfortunately.

From updated PS blog post:
Correction: Back Up Data, a feature listed in an earlier version of this post, is not part of PS4 system software 2.00.

Sony has a lot of exclusives for 2015 not yet announced. Troll fail.
Drive Club has pretty much been a fiasco from the start and these server issues makes the developer and Sony look amateurish. I also think that the massive sales of PS4 has resulted in under investment in server infrastructure.
Developer update on issues.

I think that Sony will be aiming for a pre Xmas launch in China. I also think PS4 may be a bit supply constrained due to the big sales since launch. Sony haven't really put a foot wrong so far with PS4 and I think it will do well in China like in all other regions.
You have no idea.
'Which nobody bought', LOL. Do you have a source for this 'lack of sales'? Of course you don't, trolling is easier than providing evidence.
