I don't know about all these claims of developers.
They may be true, or they may not be. But saying "using 100%" of the PS3's power is a bit misleading.
I've got an image converter that uses 100% of my CPU, yet all it does is convert images.
Games running in 1680x1050, on the other hand, use about 50-70% of my CPU.
Picture's changed.
By the way, in defense of Playstation Lifestyle, (and uncovering those who actually didn't read the article), they didn't use the image at all.

I remember when I was younger.
I'd get a game, and whip out the manual first. I wouldn't even touch the disc/cartridge.
I read that loving manual. It gave me tips the game wouldn't. Heck, some manuals walked you through the first stage!
They cared!
Now, game manuals are filled with:
"Lol, plz don't sue us."
"lol. This is ur controller and here are the buttonz."

You know, I think there's a point where you just buy a graphics card this expensive... to buy a graphics card this expensive.
I bought my GTX 460 from EVGA not too long ago for around $240. It's much cheaper now (I spied a deal where you could snag one by MSI for $170! The 1GB version too!).
But, I consider that all the graphics card I'll need for a long, long time.

I've done this for a friend three times, I think. Same friend.
All the fixes last about 2.5 months before it YLODs again.
I've got another friend who cruises lots of forums, and have read reports that it's a temporary fix, and one day it'll just fizzle out where there's no more fixing it.

Though I have such a backlog of games from PS+ as it is. I just counted all my games a few days ago and it was around 67. I want to say at least half of that is from PS+!
I've most definitely gotten my value out of it, and we're only 3 or 4 months in? Maybe a quarter of a regular session, but I got the 15 month schmeal.
Now if I can only get my interment working.
Then I can actually enjoy some of this stuff.
