Nobody, I say again, nobody showcases their games on lower than necessary specs. If any of you assume so, that means you don't know anything about marketing. On the contrary they use machines that are a lot more powerful than the optimal specs (equipped SLI GPUs and top of the market hardware) just in case there won't be any visual problems, glitches or stuttering while showcasing/recording the footage. What madmen would show their game at lower settings than its engine is capable of...
Higher resolution won't change the level of detail, though. Look at the bricks on the wall, for example. Lacks bump mapping now, and grass shaders are definitely downgraded, along with particles and low poly fire-smoke effects. Those you cannot alter by cranking up the resolution- hence a downgrade is a downgrade no matter at which resolution you play it.
It can, Wii. It's just not a graphics engine that's specifically designed (or optimized if you will) for gaming consoles, hence the reason why it looks better than any other next-gen game except The Order, but it comes with a price: you can't go budget gamer on it- thus its performance on PS4/XBO disappoints. Grab a GTX 970-980 and play the game on it, and the game becomes as fluid as the running water. You see, the engine is not broken, it's just demanding as they didn't ...
You actually don't have to worry about spoilers when it comes to a game like the Witcher. I've read that there are 36 variations for the ending alone, so some other player's ending will not be the same as yours, since "your" choices will shape the story of the game. If it was a linear game like Last of Us or the Order, however, that would be another story.
I won't buy it, Wizard. I deny the existence of an MGS game without Kojima. I've never played Rising as well, not a big fan of spin-offs. MGS ends with the Phantom Pain in my book. Not even an argument for me, so they might as well do whatever they want with the corpse of our beloved MGS. They better not find it surprising when the sales of the series dip, though.
Silent Hills, that's what you royally screwed. The game was almost every SH fans' wet dream that we've been waiting for long, long years. You can't beat Kojima and Del Toro (speaking as a big fan of Pan's Labyrinth, by the way), and Norman Reedus looked like the perfect choice for a SH antagonist. I mean, look at the man's face and you'd see a tortured soul. The latest teaser was so good that I wanted to dance in my room. Literally. I could buy the uber mega editio...
That's actually a thoughtful and intelligent criticism of Konami's latest actions, props to the devs for a good chuckle.
I don't think the performance issues were related to game's being always online but whatever, what's done is done. Let's hope they optimized the engine properly for the next game.
That being said, the game itself was absolutely gorgeous in terms of graphics. Still one of the best graphics of the generation. Character models, skin/cloth shaders and the lighting is phenomenal in that game.
Of course he will be, Kojima would never step away from an MGS game that he himself started producing. That's the man's baby, after all.
In order to guarantee a fair play environment in the online section of the game they have to clarify that the modding is not endorsed in the TOS, which is natural and understandable. Will they act against it, however, is the question here. I don't think Rockstar would ban anyone for using mods unless they are aimed to gain advantage in the online section. They wouldn't interfere with the modders doing cosmetic changes in the game, that's the fun part for the PC community and I'...
Probably a GTX 980 with a high tier i7 would do. Almost all of the next-gen games are optimized to run at ultra on GTX 980 these days, including GTA V, Arkham Knight and Watch Dogs.
To be honest with you I don't see that much of a difference between the PC ultra footage and the PS4 footage. I might even daresay Dragon Age Inquisition at 4K looks better at its highest settings than Witcher 3 PC footage but the scope of the game is a lot bigger in Witcher so that's understandable.
I apologize if I'll be bursting your bubble but I'm a die-hard MGS fan and I believe there's little to no chance that you play as another character in MGSV other than Big Boss. Kojima is in love with BB, he always favored the original. And now that he's departed from KONAMI, it seems like we will never see our dream game in which we play as Solid and infiltrate Zanzibar Island, fighting against BB. I still wish Kojima could make that happen earlier but well, every legend has t...
I'm impressed, a patch that is worthy of the name "patch" which shows significant impact on the game. That's like a relic these days, as we're flooded with so called patches that do little in terms of improvement.
Looks like we've got ourselves a hit, gentlemen.
One of my favorite games of the last generation!
Adam's a great character indeed, partly due to the amazing voice-acting performance of Elias Toufexis. I hope they keep him. He's the closest you can get to the coolness of David Hayter's Solid Snake performance.
Can. Not. Wait.
I really enjoyed Alan Wake's webisodes/tv shorts. This leads me to believe that Remedy can do it right.
No, and it's not going to make sense at all, given the character a year ago (in Peace Walker) had Hayter's voice. Your sound doesn't change like that. No possible, logical explanation can be given to make sense of it.
It is, however, going to be a stellar performance both in terms of voice acting and physical/facial expressions, as Keifer is an Emmy winning, professional actor so I'll overlook the sillyness of this situation.
The CM13 mod that I tried out had a character selection option, with characters re-modelled faithfully to the original models, looking much better. Take this into consideration if any of you want to check it out again.
Says the man who owns a GTX 980 coupled with i7 4770 and 16GB RAM.
Don't make assumptions.
