" Multi- [from Latin multus much, many]: more than one. "

In Alan Wake's case, it was Xbox 360 and PC. Yes, it is a multi-platform game. That it didn't get a release for PS3 or Wii doesn't change the fact.

Even though it's confirmed as fake, I hope Naughty Dog can finally see that there are lots of gamers out there who are getting hyped up every time they see anything Crash Bandicoot related, and who are willing to buy a new installment in a heartbeat. Sly is back, why wouldn't Crash? We need titles like these to take a break from the blow-em-up kind of games.

It's kind of a harsh title but that's right, it's absolutely what they did this gen, they hijacked it. Lack of exclusives, paid multiplayer service, all the technical issues with the machine... Hell, I buried two 360s and never bought one again. Why would I anyway, to play Gears of War Judgement? The only game I care about is Halo 4, other than that I have no interest in Xbox 360 games. My favorite Xbox 360 exclusive was Alan Wake and guess what happened: it went multiplatform. <...

Who would buy the next Xbox as a TV tuner? I know I wouldn't. I already have cable and I don't even watch TV that much so thank you. I'm more about the games, I won't pay for a service that I'll skip using, for that matter the hardware is what I'm all about.

TV tuner, bluray player, streaming movie service, instant messenger, blah blah... You know what, I don't even care! We have a little thing called, you know, PERSONAL COMPUTERS since 1970s, whic...

How could you possibly know that?

I mean unless you have a crystal ball, with all the limited information about PS4 and a nonexistent announcement of the next Xbox, you'd never be able to tell which is to fall and which is to shine.

I know everybody has an opinion but please back your opinions with some sort of data. In this instance, the data is not yet available to think on.

I'll check it out Brownghost, thank you.

The last video game related comic I read was Carlos D'Anda and Paul Dini's Arkham City, which is a five issue mini series. It was a great read as well.

@Jonesy6,

Natively, no, it can't. It can upscale games to 1080p, though. As an example, if you play MGS4, you'll notice that your TV screen is actually working in 1080p mode while the game itself natively runs at 1024x768. This may be a similar case.

Actually, as I'm a sucker for comics, I'd rather have the American version simply because of the comic book panel-ish seperation of the character illustrations. Japanese version looks kind of typical while the US version seems stylized, I'd happily put that on my bookshelf as it looks like a gorgeously drawn comic book cover.

Actually you might be right, I'm still expecting a PS4 version announcement. I mean look at those screens... Even though I know that PS3 did wonders in terms of graphics with exclusive games, I find it hard to believe that those screens are taken from a current-gen console.

And better yet, if it's indeed the Playstation 3 version we're looking at here, I can't even imagine what Naughty Dog could do with the Playstation 4. Even Deep Down could be surpassed, man...

Restore yours. My love for Sony was never lost, that'll not happen unless they stop releasing games like God of War Ascension, Beyond and The Last of Us.

What do the other two do?

Nintendo, abandoned Wii completely right after releasing Wii U. Microsoft, abandoned hardcore gamers long ago, focusing on kinect and turning the system into an entertainment hub rather than a gaming console.

So yeah, love whatever you want but don't expe...

For casual gamers I understand why it would be a big issue as it's kind of an awkward situation that we've never experienced before in a console reveal but for hardcore gamers I don't think it's a big issue as we've seen the ges and it's all that mattered. In fact I was expecting to see the console and not the games and it happened to be the other way around. I care more about the games so I'm quite satisfied with the way PS4 was announced.

It's great technology but it has some downsides, mainly the price of 4K TVs. Even if we assume that the prices will go down in some years I don't think many of us can devote a full wall for a gigantic 4K TV in our houses, I mean unless you're living in a chateau you'd have difficulty finding such a big space for a huge panel TV. And even if standard sized TVs have 4K support in the future we couldn't spot so much difference than 1080p-res movies as 4K is meant for big scre...

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney,

Good luck with that. I have the same graphics card that's used on the PS4 (7850) and 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM plus 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM on the GPU, not only my PC struggles to run Crysis 3 at max settings but also I have yet to see a game with an extreme visual fidelity like Killzone Shadow Fall on my system.

Crysis 3 is a gorgeous looking game but it's not a next-gen title. I'm sure Crytek can do wonders with PS4 but people claiming th...

"So Killzone" what game is that? Gotta love unnecessary conjunctions.

That, by the way, was expected. It's a launch title after all.

Deep Down was gorgeous, but I'm not sure if in-game graphics will be on par with the visuals displayed in that cinematic demo. If it's pure game engine and not a touched up, post processed video, that'll be the leap we've actually been expecting from the next-gen consoles. Time will tell I guess.

Infamous was great as well. I think they chose a street ambush scene just to remind us next-gen consoles can do what we've all been promised with the Samatrian te...

Huh. We've seen so much weird sh#t in gaming so far though, I honestly don't think you can top some of that.

I take it that's the "taboo game" Kojima has been talking about in the past, then. Bring it on, Kojima-san.

Yep. The magic price point that'd magically send your company to bankruptcy from the shortest way possible. *sighs*

It'll be something like $549 given the GDDR5 RAM they're using.
